Hey, i didn´t like the new change...i believe the polls should be restricted in that special area...sure some members have ignored the instructions, but i guess that this forum should be a little bit more organized...
What do you think?
If you picked "Who Cares", boy, you ain´t no fun!

I don't quite follow. What do you mean by pools? I must be acting like a n00b now, because I'm not quite getting what you're talking about.MAJINDIEGO wrote:Hey, i didn´t like the new change...i believe the pools should be restricted in that special area...sure some members have ignored the instructions, but i guess that this forum should be a little bit more organized...

Re: Should polls have a proper section?
i think that many members dont really look in that category, or at least not very often, so i think that it is useful to have polls in the offtopic section. They will be accessed more frequently.

Re: Should polls have a proper section?
you both have valid points, but i'm with majindiego on this one. it does lend more organization to the board. there's too much traffic here to NOT subdivide as much as rationally possible.
Can you imagine how painful it would be to navigate stratoforum if it didn't have even the few demarcations it has now? as it is, Other Discussion has 207 threads; seven pages. Stratovarius Talk has 134 threads; five pages. And there's a whole hell of a lot on a page. As I write this, just the FIRST page of Stratovarius Talk serves as the gateway to 1980 posts. Holy fuck.
I move for more subdivision.

I don't think it's necessary... but it doesn't hurt either

Re: Should polls have a proper section?
anyway, I don't think we need to put in thousands of subgenres in order to organize the forum. If anyone has looked into the polls category before it got deleted, you can see there wasn't much there. Twilight makes a good point:
[quote:Twilightsymphony]i think that many members dont really look in that category, or at least not very often, so i think that it is useful to have polls in the offtopic section. They will be accessed more frequently.[/quote]
And concearning HvyMtlClickWitch's post, I don't think 5 to 6 pages of threads are going to matter being the fact that most of them are threads that were not even posted for a long time.

Re: Should polls have a proper section?
It is perfectly fine now. As it has always been before.
Stratovarius, Off Topic, and speciallized for musicians. Too many categories too big hasel, too much time needed to look everwhere. Polls can be done here.
