pYromaniaZ wrote:Yes, I have heard the WTSR solo you speak of. Being a good fan of bach and his fuges, I really enjoyed it :)
Can you tell me, which Bach song made Tolkki to write that WTSR solo?

BTW, my fav Tolkki solo is maybe WTSR solo, as it's the very best (strato)solo ever. But It's not complete without Jens. But I like all the others as well, and of course the Destiny solo is one of ma favourites. It's my fav song, if I haven't said it a thousand times before. :D :D :D

Yes, WillTheSunRise's solo is absolutely made in J.S.Bach'style...
But it's a great classical theme in the song, it's a very nice chime...

I like all TimoTolkki's solos... He has very utterance and he writes pleasant tune... I like the long and difficult solo aria... 8)
Here I am lost and alone in the night...

my favourite tolkki's solo are from:
1)Stratovarius - Black Diamond ; Avantasia - The seven angels.
2)Stratovarius - Paradise.
3)Stratovarius - Will the Sun Rise.
Rock and Roll.

One of this greatest solos is in Mother Earth, very melodic, monumental, suported by orchestral sound.
So where does the power come from to see the race to its end?
From within.

Haven´t been writing here for a while... but back again :)

These are really good and stand out from many others:

-Chasing shadows
-Hold on to your dream
-Kiss of Judas

The lead in H.o.t.y.d., however, is a pretty direct copy from Gary Moore´s After the war (if I remember correct). So a small minus for that.

I think Tolkki did his best guitar solos on Dreamspace. There´s a rock influence in them, not just sweeping all the time.
