I've been told that TT made an interview to a finnish magazine called Soundi, where he tells the name of the album is "Revolution Renaissance" and it would be out in June, but the weird news is that the drums will be played by Mirka Rantanen and the vocals will be done by Michael Kiske, who already has recorded it

Is it a joke or what? Does any finnish guy around here has read this news at Soundi? Or is it just an early April Fool's joke?

Please, any more news about it will be welcome!

It was not a joke, this interview is in the latest issue od Soundi on the pages 23-26 and Timo Tolkki says his new band is called Revolution Renaissance like his new album .And the record company is Frontiers

That's true. And, actually it was said that the new album will be made by BAND called Revolution Renaissance and there will sing Kiske and Tobias Sammet, for example. The live line-up might have Jens Johansson and Lauri Porra in it. So, I'm not sure if Stratovarius has ended at some point of time or what's going on...

That sounds like an amazing lineup, but I certainly hope that Stratovarius still exists...

IMO, I think TT needs to make a statement on the forum or main site to let the fans know whats going on with RR....soon! Of course, Its up to him.

Well, dirge, you were not a member when "Katrinagate" happened 4 years ago, and God forbid another incident like that. I mean, the whole forum had to be redone. Of course, this is slightly different circumstances. I just think TT needs to be up front&let people know things. Not everyone reads Soundi.

The sad thing is that there are no news update since along time.
It feels like Stratovarius is dying without a chance to say goodbye.Its always the same ... First some speculation and then the sad annoucement on the official page. I think it should be the other way round.

Anyway, I don't believe any speculations, that's why I asked someone (probably a Finn, I don't believe anyone else reads a Finnish magazine ) who has read it to post the relevant page here.

But how can be possible that Tolkki talk about this in a magazine and we can't see anything in official sites?

And, what about stratovarius website main page?. Even Tolkki is announcing saana on it.

If it's true what soundi says, how can he be doing things like this?

"Hey I'm posting things on stratovarius forum and announcing things, but stratovarius is gonna die..."

I just can't understand.

Maybe the band is under some binding legal thing under Sanctuary Records not to discuss about Strato itself. Thats why I said TT needs to make a statement about RR, and his intentions. Maybe this is the only legal way the band can release RR. But, Kiske?

BTW, the interview mentioned is in a trustworthy magazine, by a trustworthy journalist. So there. Its NOT speculation.

Well, I don't see the problem. It's certainly printed on the mag I got home . To me it sounds like the new "RR" album and this project are the same thing, especially considering that Kotipelto is doing gigs with his own bands and planning to go to studio relatively soon...
