Now I'm leaving my worries behind.
Feel the freedom of body and mind I have started my journey.
I'm drifting away with the wind I go...

Yes, it's "Hunting high and low" finnish version! The original is better!

I prefer the french version of "Papillon" sung by Timo Kotipelto! =P

I also understand nothing :) I have one more song by Elakelaiset, and there are only two words that I can understand - "HUMPPA" and "SAATANA" :D Maybe that's because I don't know finnish at all :eyes

No, it isn't translation, the story is quite different...

The song is actually about a funeral :D
Here's my quickly done translation

------------------------------------

I’ll just sing in some fucking way…

Bending buffet table
Full of steaming dainty

The speaker tries to
Gnashing his false teeth
Make up something good to say
About the deceased

Deep down he was gentle
Pleasant, secretly even intelligent
Skilfully he hid it from all of us
Let us remember him…with body warmth!

Why don’t they play humppa here!
Just blame the cantor, you can’t play
Bass with organ pedals

Why don’t they play humppa here!
It isn’t easy for the man, the church organ
Probably doesn’t have a rhythm machine

It isn’t that pleasant in the coffin either
The balsamic stuff itches the face
Soundproofing leaves a lot to be desired, too
You can hear the pastor’s bullshit through it

Deep down he was gentle
Pleasant, and even intelligent
Skilfully he hid it from all of us
Let us remember him…with body warmth!

Why don’t they play humppa here!
Just blame the cantor, you can’t play
Bass with organ pedals

Why don’t they play humppa here!
It isn’t easy for the man, the church organ
Probably doesn’t have a rhythm machine

[solo]

Deep down he was gentle
Pleasant, and even intelligent
Skilfully he hid it from all of us
Let us remember him…with body warmth!

Why don’t they play humppa here!
Just blame the cantor, you can’t play
Bass with organ pedals

Why don’t they play humppa here!
It isn’t easy for the man, the church organ
Probably doesn’t have a rhythm machine

Why don’t they play humppa here!
Just blame the cantor, you can’t play
Bass with organ pedals

Why don’t they play humppa here!
It isn’t easy for the man, the church organ
Probably doesn’t have a rhythm machine

Maybe they've only used music from Strato (Hunting high and low), and have only changed the lyrics? :D

I also like the versions of Bon Jovi - Livin' On A Prayer (Elän Humpalla), Europe - Final Countdown (Jääkärihumppa) and HIM - Join Me (Humppasonni).

Well, it's illegal to put it on Internet anyway. 'Miksei täällä humppa soi' is also an Eläkeläiset-song, you can go to www.humppa.com and download legal and official song samples.

HHAL is their only (so far) Stratovarius cover song. Here is the list of all cover songs they have made... (It's in finnish, but I think you'll get it)
