Acoustic part of "Infinity".
Actually, there are so many--I have to think about which is "best".
I like the ones on CVAT alot.

The one on Visions.. it's so full of emotion, especially when he plays it live. An all time fave, for sure. :headbang:

I don't really know, there are so many. But one of the best is for sure "Will the sun rise" (though the song is not my favourite), after 2nd chorus, where he plays a duett with Jens, sounds very classical. Genious!
"Holy Light" is great as a whole, all solo parts are superb. "Kiss of Judas", just to mention one more.

I've always felt the same way about this particular section you speak of. Apparently Jens and Timo were listening to some Bach beforestratohawk wrote:But one of the best is for sure "Will the sun rise" (though the song is not my favourite), after 2nd chorus, where he plays a duett with Jens, sounds very classical. I really like Speed of Light and Will the Sun Rise solos. No doubt they are my favorites.
Re: which is your favorite tolkki solo
Yes, I have heard the WTSR solo you speak of. Being a good fan of bach and his fuges, I really enjoyed it

Re: which is your favorite tolkki solo
yeah, so right! This part is great! But also the shift from the violines to guitar. Anyway, TS is simply a very beautiful piece of music. Especially the end...Saffron wrote:The slow solo in twilight symphony. It´s just so great and emotional!!
But it's so hard to mention only two or three "best solos". Think e.g. of "Mother Gaia" solo, after the chorus. It takes the melody of Kotipeltos singing, but a step higher. SOOOOO emotional, it's incredible!!! In "Liberty" it's the same: Picking up the chorus' melody a step higher. Though these soli are technically not so hard, they really sound very emotional.
And there are so many other...

Re: which is your favorite tolkki solo
Both the fast and slow solos on "Twilight Symphony" are the best. And as we can listen from Stratovarius discography, later Tolkki used the main melody of the last "Twilight Symphony" solo in a lot newer songs like "Mother Gaia","Elements" and in "HymnToLife" album in the song "Father"... To not forget, EDGUY copied many years later this solo in "Unbeliever"song of their "Theatre of Salvation" album...

its hard to pick his best solo's, surely those of Black Diamond, Will the sun rise, Twillight Symphonie, Destiny and also a lot of his 'older strato songs (Reign of Terror etc.)' hold some cool solo's
there is no bad tolkki solo
