Where is the "No! That setlist is lame ! There's only songs we've heard a million times" option ?

this is a fatal setlist. i would like no shakra or wingdom and let strato and hf play more songs. and the setlist... so poor. no forever, just 1 epic, much hits missing, and pay 30 euros for 12 songs (i don't want a bass solo) is very expensive. Also HF's setlist is very poor if they don't play "glory to the brave".

ideas for a better setlist:

-every other song in elements 1 is better than eagleheart, specially soul of a vagabond.
from episode: where is tomorrow? and season of change?
from 4thD: against the wind? distant skies?
NO SONGS FROM THE 3 FIRST ALBUMS?
from visions: although paradise could get boring, i would like more songs...
destiny: just the epic? rescue any anthem from here
and from infinite: oh my god! play it whole looooooooooooool
from the newest album: just carry on and gipsy in me!!!!!!!

quit the solo

from elements 2 i don't mind if you don't play anything.

Something is missing.

-I´d wish two epics or just some rarer epics instead of Destiny which everyone should already know too well. Infinity, Götterdämmerung(Zenith), Night Time Eclipse or Vagabond for example.

-They play too much the hits yeah, they should also play rare songs instead of those hits or change some songs in different gigs. Specially songs for the classic albums which were played very seldom (The Abyss of Your Eyes, Lord of the Wasteland, Playing the Fire, Uncertainty) just some for example.

-We need songs from the three first albums too and more songs from Infinite too. From Infinite they could play for example Infinity (instead of Destiny as I said), and A Million Light Years Away and perhaps Phoenix too. About the songs from the first albums, I think the most fans would like to hear Tolkki singing ´em or some of them too.

-About the new songs I think the situation is quite good. Fight!!! rocks like hell as I almost dropped my glasses when headbanging during that, ManiacDance is the single and works IMHO good live, TLoIaS can replace some ballads (but not Forever, I miss it too!) and United tells about their reunion and about human rights. So I´d hear only Zenith more or not coz they should play old rare epics.

P.S. You can find at least my favourite setlist (without the new songs) in the voting poll.

Put Learning To Fly instead of Father Time, kick out Eagleheart or HH&L and put HOTYD instead, replace Destiny with SOAV and you already have a MUCH better setlist.

Kick out Eagleheart and Huntig High and Low there are too many easy-flowing songs in this fucking setlist. If you want a hit-song put in SOS. We have heard Twilight Symphony live, it will be on the DVD and it is on the Visions of Europe CD. Please replace it with not so often heard songs like The Abyss Of Your Eyes, Dreamspace, Abyss or Dreamweaver. And why always Father Time? Put rather in Anthem of The World what we never have heard before! And 15 songs would be better, a setlist completed with Visions, Against the Wind, Forever or something what we have voted for!

Any opinion, idea?
Nothing to say.

That bass solo was the most amazing bass playing I've seen in my life....in fact, I'm going to look for Lauri's solo album right now!

I wanna see the bass solo.

We are treated. Jari never bothered to do one.

The bass solo was tremendous, one of the best moments in the gig, I´d say. So saying "who cares about the bass solo" is just shit. :P
After the solo I even thought "goodbye Jari, we never miss you..."

I think the London show was identical but with Against The Wind as well.

No, it wasn't... they didn't play Land of Ice and Snow, but played Forever instead. And they also played Against The Wind.
And I think the setlist was just right, plenty of fast songs (Speed of Light, Father Time, Against the Wind, Black Diamond, Destiny) mixed songs (Twilight Symphony, Fight, HHAL) and only one actually slow song (Forever)

The performance was incredible. The Power Rangers put on a good show (what the HELL was Magnus wearing?!?!) I'll admit, but when Strato came on stage...

Timo Tolkki's playing was unbelievable. And Lauri Porra's bass solo was amazing as well... but... I dunno. I guess I'm still too attatched to Jari, and prefer his style. But Lauri is certainly a worthy replacement!

Overall, fantastic.

Edit: Oh, and I got one of Timo Tolkki's guitar picks :D

And I met Timo Kotipelto and Lauri Porra before the show. And met Hammerfall after the show. And to top it all off, I ran into Sam from DragonForce while leaving the venue... he was drunk as hell, as usual :D

I think this setlist isn't very good :(. I think it would be better if they have 15 or more songs, not 12 and solo. But if only 13... Here is setlist, that I would like to listen:

1. SOS
2. Will The Sun Rise?
3. The Kiss Of Judas
4. Eagleheart
5. Father Time
6. Twilight Symphony
7. Eternity (Must be)
8. Season Of Change (also must be :D)
9. The Land Of Ice And Snow
10. Forever
11. Hunting High And Low
-----------------------------------
12. Destiny
13. Black Diamond

Of course I missed a lot of great songs, but setlist is too small :(.

I guess for most powermetal fans, getting both Hammerfall AND Stratovarius on the same night more than makes up for it.

Yeah if HammerFall weren't there i'm sure it wold've been a much longer setlist, but it was nice to have both bands playing.

no, let shakra play! I really love this band and the new album is wonderful! so I wouldn't hurt me less when HF would play less (I have seen them in the april this year...It is a very good show but it's the latest gig from these three bands).

I voted for 'best setlist ever' (or whatever it is called, it's the first one) option. Okay, okay, there's always something missing, especially because Strato is around for so long & made somany great songs and only had 1.15 hours to play, because they were co-headlining with HammerFall. But I'm talking about the balance of songs, which was way okay! New songs, older singalongs, songs they hardly play live anymore, kick-ass songs, a beautiful ballad... in short: it couldn't be better! I bet they would've played even more rarely-played-live songs like in 2003 (songs of the first albums) if they would again play as long as they did back then. In 2003 the set lasted between the 2 and 2,5 hours!

We had the same setlist in Lyon (France), excepted SOS.
In the others french towns (Lille and Toulouse) we had "Fight!!!" and "United" instead of "Coming Home" and "Hymn To Joy" etc..
In Paris, only "United" added to this setlist you mention above instead of "Coming Home" and "Hymn To Joy".
