This morning I woke up with the news that Tolkki is going to record a new CD with the "original" guys; and that Kotipelto, Jens, Michael and Porra are preparing some new material. I've spend quite a long time reading this forum looking for news and the opinions of fans. And in every single topic I just wished that there were no forum at all...

Everybody posting accusations, insults, writing without showing respect... Not only the band members, also among the users. You are the so-called fans? Have you ever heard the message of Stratovarius music? It has nothing to do with what is happening hear.

You are blaming the guys for talking shit about the other side, but you are doing exactly the same. Paranoia is getting into every topic: invisible banning administrators, publicity stunts,... I really feel sad reading most of your opinions.

And you know what? This kind of behaviour it's only helping the guys to make the situation worse. How would you feel if dozens of unkown people would be judging all your acts? Why can't we leave them alone to solve (or not) their problems and get on with whatever they want to do?

The kind of words readed in this forum are exactly the same that the ones you criticize. It's really sad to see so much hate inside your hearts, just because 5 guys just won't play together anymore. How will you react if your boss fires you from your jobs? You will burn down his/her house if this is your normal behaviour.

Now use your imagination for a while. Imagine that this kind of posts that I am talking about wouldn't exist. Imagine that only Jens Johansson and Timo Tolkki would be doing statements and the kind of comments we've seen these last days. Do you think they would continue like that if nobody reacted to their messages? Or maybe they would think "What the f*ck am I doing?" and forget about everything...

Why can't we forget about all this stuff and just listen to their music. If you really feel sad for what happened, you wouldn't be angry! Sadness and hate are not the same emotions. Just relax, wait for some news and get your CDs on your players. Listen to the songs, listen to their message...

Yes, we are both sad&angry that Stratovarius is breaking up, but thats not the main reason for all the emotions. Bands break up, get new members, fire members etc. all the time. Thats not is whats causing much of the extreme emotions here. But, in your post, L_H, I sense alot of emotion, too, and I don't think you'd understand if anyone explained it to you.

There's really an emotion, BEG, sure! If there wasn't, I would not have spent that time writing

But that emotion is not so intense to make me unable to listen and understand the reasons. I would like to know them, for sure! And even if our opinions could not be the same, that wouldn't be a problem.

Maybe I can guess why the people are so angry, the fact is that I don't think we should feel so angry and act like people here are acting...

I said this once, and I say it again: I will remember Stratovarius as a sad story and a stab in the back. And, for me, that is thanks to every member of Stratovarius band.

I can't listen to the songs like I used to listen, I can't listen their message, thanks to the messengers.

I have lost all the energy I had from Stratovarius. Now it's all bullshit and damned words. Misery, doom, lies, insults, flamewars, madness, one day you say: "hey, today I'm gonna listen something positive from the guys, I'm sure"...poor ignorant...

Betrayed, I feel betrayed.

RazielSR You are just a fan, a consumer and you feel stabbed in the back. Maybe you then can understand how the guys feel when they got betrayed by someone they thougt to be their friend. But you see them as flamers and persons that not have respect enough for you and give you what you want. You ask JJ where his talent went. Do you call that love and respect?

When a musician is playing/composing, he should be it doing at a 50% for himself and a 50% for those who are listening. Music is the game of using your instrument to tell something. To do that, you must be free and happy with what you are playing, no matter whatever others may think; but at the same time keep in mind that you are doing it to make your listeners feel something. It's a strange equilibrium and hard to explain, but if you are musicians you'll know what I am talking about...

Well, yeah, I agree with that post... I think that actually we loose our paradise

So, for a side, yeah, the message of Strato is (was) always about good feelings, to be better people...

But, about this neverending war... Well, that is, first of all, a business... We can be furious because TT has gonna do a new album with all members, and cos he is so bad and bla, bla... We can be waiting eagerly that the rest of the boys will continue with the Strato legacy... But, hell, this is a businnes and all this guys have costs, am I right? They're searching for opportunities to continue their artistic lives and their materialistic lives as well...

just a question:
can all this online flaming and insulting thing just be an advertising trick?, I mean, I'm not blaming any band member but think about it, they have got so much attention this past few months that it would be right to think about that posibility. Maybe TT(Or the whole band) said "Hey we're not getting anywhere with this crap... let's make a crappy "Stratovarius" album and then let's make a crappy disbandment, that way, we'll get more attention in order to sell new albums a lot better... "
