Re: HERMAN LI IS AN ALIEN!!!
Dragonforce has some ok guitar work. In my opinion, there are better guitarists out there. At least they are making a name for the genre. I just hope Power Metal doesn't become a joke. Some bands tend to take their music very seriously.

I don't like Boss Pedals. I can recommend much better overdrives.

I'll buy the new album. If it has Romeo on it that's one of the best parts!

Re: Jens, is this true?
I like Dream Theater, but I think at least for solos Jens kicks all their keyboard players asses. Better phrasing, cooler runs, better lead sound, etc... Some people can be great pianists, but when it comes to soloing it's a different story. By the way, greatest keyboardists of all time are Jens, Vi...

Doesn't matter which leg. I sit my guitar on the right. By the way, Romeo totally owns. A true master. I love his playing.

Re: Weird-Looking Guitars =P
You might be able to order one from the Japanese ESP site. I got one a few years ago from a guy who works with ESP and the newest one with a guitar I ordered from Japan. They might even send you one in the mail free of cost.stratoplayer wrote:where can i find the ESP Japan catalog?

Re: Weird-Looking Guitars =P
The ESP Japan catalog has some very unique guitars. ESP is the most innovative guitar company in the market today if you ask me. Innovative? Yeah. But you have to admit they do some pretty blatant ripoffs as well. Yes, I can see that. They have some crazy stuff in the ESP Japan Catalog, but the US ...

I'm always up for MORE SHREDDING on the new album. Longer solos and guitar/keyboard duels. This would be awesome.

Re: Thinking of quitting one of my bands...
I'd say try and form a new band as to what you want to do. It's possible, just might take a while. No sense in playing in a band if you don't enjoy it.

Sorry for a stupid question but where (band or project) does this f*ucking good Vitaliy Kupriy play? Vitalij has a band named Artension and many solo albums. He also has some classical piano albums. Also plays in the band Ring of Fire (Really good stuff). He's an amazing keyboardist/pianist....

Jens is incredible and a very inspiring musician. I don't consider any musician the best, but yes Jens is of the greatest keyboard players around. I also enjoy the works of Vitalij Kuprij and Richard Andersson. Michael Pinnella from Symphony X also has some nice stuff.

I enjoy the new album. All in all, it is different, but has good material. The production sounds great of course. What I'd want to hear on the new album? More soloing I guess. SHRED!

You'll have to wait for mine. I'm paying a well known drummer to do my demo. So I can start with the guitar recordings. Sequencing is too much of a hassle for a serious demo so I decided to fork out the money.

I don't believe there is a best. I do believe there is the best singers. In that list I would have SO many. This is because each one of these vocalists is special in their own way. Masterplan is awesome, but I don't believe it's anything new or innovative. They have well written songs, but nothing t...

Re: "WARRIOR of LIGHT" Rock Opera
My project is going to be a type of rock/metal opera. More in the style of Progressive/Power Metal. I'm doing my best to create something somewhat new and innovative while keeping my influences in the mix. The demo is taking longer than I estimated, but it will be worth the wait. The guest list may ...

Yeah, but personally I think he sings the best in Beyond Twilight and Ark. He shows off a bit more. He must just go with what suits the style or album the best for his singing parts. Allen/Lande album was pretty good. I like the guitarist.
