Re: Gus Monsanto is RR singer
none can reach Kotipelto's voice, i know who's mark boals but he has not the same ''timbre'' nor the same prowess... boals is more like...judas priest kind? dont compare donkeys with nana moskouri... =/! Judas Priest ? Man... Boals has a clear voice and can get his falsetto way better than Kotipelt...

Re: Gus Monsanto is RR singer
A lot of singers out there can do that. Mark Boals is a perfect example. He also can pull this off live without a glitch.RazielSR wrote:It's imposible to reach Kotipelto's range and singing live as good as Koti can.

Re: Should Stratovarius continue and make a new album?
 I don't think everybody is against him! Haven't you read the RR Forum? ;) Actually, most people see everything balanced&are trying to support all parties involved. Alright, bad choice of words I guess. What I meant is that if he's being accused of something, isn't it normal to try and defend ...

Re: Should Stratovarius continue and make a new album?
I really do understand your motivations for trying to put what you consider as "truth" out. But the simple question is : to whom is it doing any good? To you? To them? To us (the fans)? To nobody? Well, you have to get in his shoes. Do you think you'd be happy if you got accused of stuff and everyb...

Re: Should Stratovarius continue and make a new album?
Ack.. It's just a name. They can do whatever they want since they have the rights to it, but I'm not expecting something bombastic. Jens and Kotipelto are good performers but they're far from being good composers (in my opinion of course).. I must admit that the last Strato album I love is Visions s...

Re: Gus Monsanto is RR singer
BrownEyed, he has a rough voice compared to Kiske or Kotipelto. Not as much as Symphony X's singer (Russell) though. The ones that compare him to LaBrie need to have the wax removed from their ears. Honnestly he doesn't have that type of voice nor the style. I wouldn't see him singing Tolkki type so...

Re: Gus Monsanto is RR singer
He's a very good singer but I don't see him fitting Tolkki's style at all. Raw voice. Ah well, maybe the change will surprise me in a good way.
Bold move. I just hope that the people he hired realize that they could get thrown out of the band quickly as 'starting' bands are shaky sometimes.

Re: "New Era" Album
I thank you...I have in mind to make something new but maintain the power metal feel. People "judge" : "it's not Visions" by hearing 4 clips totalling few minutes. I dont even care what it is cause I dont label it. Perhaps it is the spirit of freedom I feel now. I can already picture myself on stag...

Was 'We Are the Future" ever done live with Timo K. ?
This song.... I gotta tell ya is one of my favorites from this band. The feeling I get listening to the chorus is just awesome.
Seems very underrated
Was this song ever done live with Kotipelto ?

Re: Why?
Why? Simple. He didn't want these bombastic songs this time around. Unfortunately for me, this is the side I liked the most from the band although I still think they were never able to reproduce the majesty of songs like Father Time, Black Diamond or Visions. I know people here are diehard fans and...

Re: New album *review* ...
I wonder why this post hasn't been deleted yet, but what the heck. If you love the bombastic, fast, majestic, epic side of Strato, this is NOT for you. If you're more into those "Kiss of Judas", "SOS" type songs...then you'll probably like it. This is more of an 80's rock album... Maniac Dance, for ...

Timo, are you accessible ?
By that I mean, during tours, are you accessible to the fans ? I'm in Montreal, hopefully, that tour date will get confirmed. Anyhow, if somebody knocks on your door backstage, do you want to talk to them ? Once, Helloween came here, I had arranged a meeting with Weiki backstage and when I knocked o...
