Stratovarius' second strike in Quebec City is tonight! We'll try to kick off the tour the best way possible! I hope it'll be as kick ass as last year...TK couldn't even speak between songs. OMG it's tonight!!! Can't wait!
Well, Into Eternity still seems to be opening for Strato (on the promoter's website), but Mathieu's band (Kinslayer) isn't there anymore...why your band and not the other one?
Musically, the Episode/Speed of Light combo is the best opener possible but, seeing the reunion circumstances, Phoenix would also be great...Legions would be even better..."Tonight we're together again!"
I don't know where you live so I can't really speak about where you're from. All I know is down in the U.S., it's very, VERY different from up here, and not only metal-wise. As for the rest of Canada, I know it's way more british than american, and that's a good point. (I personnally have nothing ag...
... or a second date perhaps. But I think "it's complicated".... :) But hey, nice to sell out a show more than half a year in advance!?!!! You have no idea how much we waited for you guys to come here...people always associate Quebec and Montreal to the rest of North America but are very diff...
So...leaning towards straight heavy metal...mmm...interesting. Even though I'm a huge fan of the power metal days, I'm really excited to hear this. At least it ain't trash *vomiting on the floor* or pop rock. Tolkki is a genius, I can't see how he could fuck music up. Everything he wrote to date is ...
I already listened to it 3 or 4 times and overall the album is great. Of course, Jens' solos are awsome as usual; the solo battle between him and Youngblood in "When The Lights Are Down" is great. Check the album out, our favorite virtuoso lays down some really good parts on it.
Well...there's this anime movie I like...mmm...what's it called?...Ah that's it...AKIRA! LOL , not too obvious (for those who know the movie and read my nickname) If you like anime and haven't seen Akira, do it RIGHT F***ING NOW! It's the best anime movie I've seen, it's awsome.
Here's my dream setlist. The only thing left to hope for now is a show (or even two shows :D ) in Montreal and/or Quebec City. Setlist: *Episode *Speed of Light *Dreamweaver *The Kiss of Judas *Forever Free *A Million Light Years *Destiny *Paradise *Forever *I Walk to My Own Song [TK break, TT on vo...
Strato at ProgPower also means Strato in Montreal!!! :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D (Well, at least 90% sure, if the metal booking agency doesn't book them, I'll do it :P ) I'll sleep in front of the venue for like 10 days before the show...I'll die for sure when I hear the first note...dreams do come true...
:D YYEEEEEEEEEEAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!! :D This is the best piece of news in the history of mankind (Sorry, I'm a stratomaniac :P ). I'm so happy I just can't believe it!!! I just want to say congratulations to each and every member of the band for this wonderful effort. Forgiving ain't always easy b...
Merry Christmas to you too browneyedgirl! (and to everybody on the forum and every Stratovarius fan on the planet!) I'm not christian or anything so this holyday doesn't mean much to me...but happy holidays to everyone anyway!
I went for Kai but I hesitated a lot between him and Roland...the guy is a kickass guitar player! And has anybody heard him sing on the High Live DVD...he's so good...
If Anders Johansson actually said in an interview , that JJ, TT, TK and JK are working on some stuff, he's probably telling the truth. I mean, why would he just think up something like that out of thin air? NY sorta makes sense when you keep in mind that Jens lives there. (Doesn't he?) Nevertheless...
Last show I saw was Forgotten Tales (Epic Power Metal from Qc.), Crystal Castle (again, Epic Power from Rimouski) and Twilight Hall (Blind Guardian tribute band) in Quebec City. It was pretty good. A week before I saw Children of Bodom in Montreal...it was awsome
Sorry guys but this topic disgusts me. How the hell can you ask Mr. Tolkki to write new songs? If you want him to do that because you think it could help than fine. Anything he does to get better is great. But if your pushing him to write songs just for your sorry ass to listen to them, well I'm so...
Yeah you're right...at least there's somebody kind enough to translate the important news to us It's good to have new from Mr. Tolkki by the way, he seems to get better and better every time he writes to us and that's awesome.
Hey, you're luckier than me You live in Europe. I live near Montreal so I don't think I'll ever see them live, even if the band reforms. I'm probably the biggest Strato fan around here so, as browneyedgirl said, they are always in my heart. But, you know, anything can still happen
