Haha! That is sooo true! And what is it about drummers arms and hands? They seem to never stay at one place for more than a secondNeonVomit wrote: Also, look up a thing called 'DYNAMICS' it's something I've yet to encounter a drummer knowing what they are (sorry to generalise, but it's true).

Midi messages from the Dx7||-d
Well, now I am in trouble... I got a Dx7||-d hooked up to a Kurzweil 1000 PX+. But, I can't get the dx7 to send program change messages. I've tried, and tried, but it simply won't work. Anyone who can help me? I know the PX is able to recieve program change, and I know the dx7 is able to transfer.

Re: Jens, I Need help !
As said before, the dx7 is not useless! You can create lot's of funny and riveting sounds on it. Will take you some time, of course. But the thing is, a dx7 will never be able to produce good sounding acoustic instruments like for example a piano. But it is a good synth! Now, save up some money and ...

Me want Triton! But, hey, my newly obtained Kurzweil 1000 PX+ (Soon to be upgraded to Pro 1) works good as well. Hehe. Amazing how cheap you get these today! Only paid 800 kr for it (thats like, 110$. And in Norway that ain't really that much money. The minimum wage per hour (if you are over 18, tha...

Re: The Hitchhiker's Guide To The Galaxy
Prasie Douglas Adams! Have read the Hitchaikers... six times! Four in English and two in Norwegian. You know, I find the Dirk Gently books better ( :shock: ) than the Hitchaikers triology (of five books :P )... But, I personally don't expect much from the movie. It's virtually impossible to make a g...

Heeheey! The dx7 sounds is not lame
If you just spend some time you would get amazing sound!
But, you would never get anything real from it. Only synth things, if you catch my drift...

Actually, I do find Why are we here? to be Jens greatest work. It may not be a "I got 20 fingers" song, but it is one of the best songs I've ever heard.

Well, bootlegs does not make the band any money, but I have bought so many cd's that I think I deserve that one
My Visions of Destiny is the printed one, in a jewelcase. I have also heard of a digipack version? Or is that just rumours?

Re: Synth, anyone?
Oh, another question! If I use for example my dx to control a 1080, how would it work? Is it like when i press sound 20 on the dx the 1080 also changes to sound 20? Or does the 1080 have some sort of programming mode? So I could tell 1080 that when it recives this or that data it changes to this or ...

Thank you! This saved me from hours of talking to ill-smelling shopowners. I think I'll find another controler than the dx-21 though. It got synthweighted keys, and is not velocity sensetive..... But anyway. Thanks!

So the triton is rather good? I've heard of it, but never heard it. I found an used jv 1080 for about 350 $... Is that about the prive you could expect to pay for it? Thanks for the advice anyway. I'll look up some tritons and hear what they have to offer. By the way? I've got an dx-21. Could i wire...

Synth, anyone?
Well, here's the deal: I need a synth. Basically what I'm looking for is something that sounds nice and got at least 76 keys. If it just where that easy, eh? Thing is I need (want) both a decent piano sample (I play at some local coffe shops and such things), a nice Hammond, some string sounds, GM s...
