I never really thought about it but id say to get comfortable when you play, i keep mine across from my index and for solos have it further back but i sometimes bring it around the fretboard to my other fingers when i play acoustic to get some reach, just develope your own style. and just a note jim...

I havnt heard your solo but im pretty sure mine i have a few that are better sounding, and that are more difficult, some of my jams can sound like some of Jani Liimatainen.

I have a Gibson Gothic SG, lower grade Gibson guitar but sounds great, hell of alot better than any of the other crap iv seen and used, Ibanez for one, hate em!!!

I think Dani Filth (or however you spell it) from Cradle of Filth is the absolute worst vocals ever, my singer is way better than him

Good advice twilight, you can try listening to the songs and singing along and try different techniques but as you know, everyone has different vocals, sing as yourself and harmonize, and BTW Hansi kicks major ass!!!
