Re: I was dismissed today :(
we can draw about half our ususal salary for up to 6 months, 6 months ???? Wow, that's really nothing compared to France : here, if you become an unemployed, you can still get 80% of your last salary... during 18 months!!! And the job services don't really care of the job seekers, they just control...

Re: I was dismissed today :(
htc, I am really sorry to hear you lost your job. But I have a question, does everyone take sandwiches without paying for them and eat them? If so you definately have a good case against the company. If the sandwiches are free then they had no right to fire you. If the sandwiches aren't free and you...

Re: What do you think of... NEW METAL???
Nu Metal is no different than the emo and screamo thats out. It is all GAY, dork/geek rock. Is there much of a differene between emo and screamo? I guess Screamo is what they do when they mount each other. Both are extremely GAY. @strago, Joey is far more talented than any of this new shit. And at l...

Re: Whats your religion?
I just beleive in God, not the Church, and I know I'm not going to heaven Very few people are going to Heaven because most have rejected God, or the Truth. I can't wait to see the looks on these peoples face when on Judgment Day they are proven wrong! :) But, I'm not going to Heaven, either. I Look...

Re: Whats your religion?
I am a non denominational Christian. I have absolutely no quams about stating my beliefs to anyone. If you can respect my beliefs I will respect yours. Judging others is done by Christians, other religious types, (i.e. the use of the word Goyim in Judaism and Infidel in Islam) and non believers. It ...

And one more thing, fur trappers do not skin the animals alive. They trap them, kill them then skin them, then sell the furs.

Actually I am quite surprised to find so many against the use of animals to make furs, yet I am willing to bet some of you own leather. There is absolutely no difference. What is a cow not an animal? And as for animal rights groups...well I wouldn't be surprised that they didn't comit the act themse...

I learned a long time ago that you have to look at other sources for news than Television.NeonVomit wrote:That's why I've heard many Americans actually watch BBC for news. It's much more even-handed and critical.
Honestly, the news here has turned into one big Jerry Springer.

This has to be one of the funniest pictures I have seen in a very long time, and it is Indeed REAL. "As this case proceeds, Valerie and I are confident that justice will be done. In the meantime, I have a request. While I may engage in public discourse, my wife and my family are private people. They...

Re: If Fox News had been around throughout History...
And here is a PERFECT example of what you can find hidden on the very last page of US News. I was reading this magazine while I was at the doctor's office and most every article in there had a more liberal slant. Low and behold though on the very LAST page of the magazine I found this very interesti...

Re: If Fox News had been around throughout History...
Anyway, this has nothing to do with politics, it's just saying that Fox News is horribly biased and an unreliable source of news. And from what I've seen, they're more of a joke than a news channel. MSNBC, CNN, BBC, PBS... seriously, every single other news service is far better than them. :l...

Re: The US Supreme Court May Take a Giant Step Backward :(
One thing I hear a lot of, even in some history books that is COMPLETELY false. They like to think that somehow the Democrat and Republican party have traded places down the years and the ideologies have actually switched. They point out that Thomas Jefferson was the first Democrat, even the Dems li...

Re: The US Supreme Court May Take a Giant Step Backward :(
So I guess the 'Land of the Free' part of the national anthem should be re-written 'Land of the Free, as long as you're a Christian, if not, too bad' The irony of the whole thing makes me dizzy. America was founded by those who had rejected Europe due to oppression. It was meant to be a tolerant so...
