Re: Everlore - Everlore

We decided not to double track our guitar tracks in order to sound a bit more crisp. My rhythm track is panned to the right  In the beginning we were certain that we would just re-amp all the dry guitar tracks with our own amps and cabs, but our producer's Helix proved to be quite an impressi...

Re: Everlore - Everlore

I Just listened to the album. Very nice! My favorites parts were the melodic licks and the solos in each song. The bass leads were much appreciated as well. To my surprise, I didn't notice until after I listened that there were no synths to be found. The vocal harmonizations and guitar harmonizatio...

Fantastic quality and production. Is this your first?
Thanks! This is our first full-length album. We've released a few singles on Spotify and Bandcamp before, with the same producer. Just the right blend of wizard and slave driver :D

Everlore (my band)

I thought I'd share a bit of the music of the band I play guitar in. Our inspirations include bands like Stratovarius, Running Wild, Iron Maiden, etc. Now, know that this demo was recorded in 2014 with a budget next to zero and therefore in a hurry and not in a fancy studio. All things considered, I...

Fire in Your Eyes would have been awesome. It's a beautiful song and sometimes I can really relate to the lyrics.

Can't decide between Kotipelto, Hansen and Kiske. Tolkki was awesome, too.

Re: On the subject of influences

The bands that got me into metal were Stratovarius, Iron Maiden and Black Sabbath. The bands that really affected my guitar playing were/are Iron Maiden, Stratovarius, Led Zeppelin, Gamma Ray and Megadeth. I guess Yngwie may have had something to do with it, too. Though I don't consider myself a fas...

Re: Recommend Me: Amorphis

I must say I really like Skyforger. I'm quite new to Amorphis and that was my first album by them. But I'm somewhat aware of the changes in their music throughout the years. I also think that Tales From the Thousand Lakes is an awesome album.

Re: Live in Three dimension (Or, a general topic on bootlegs)

I've got the MP3 versions of "Fuckin' P.A." bootleg from a 1996 Japan gig (Tolkki has an awesome tone!) and "Visions Over Rio". Downloaded them from somewhere some time ago. I also have "Visions of Destiny" as an actual CD and Live in the Three Dimensions as MP3.

I don't find myself that big a collector, but we'll see... :)

I find that kind of behavior quite anti-religious, let alone retarded.
I'm not a believer but I really don't think that's the way God would want people to do.
Fucking pisses me off.

A true giant of metal is gone. I still can't believe this :(
But I'm very glad that I got to see Dio live in 2005. Such an awesome gig.
