Re: Timo Tolkki to perform Strato/RR songs

Sounds all the same to me. Looks like after all those years I still haven't learned to appreciate metal enough to get what is good playing and what is bad. Good to see TT doing what he loves.

Timo, I have noticed you, by the way.

Are people outside of Japan able to purchase it on Amazon.jp I am outside Japan now, so I guess it's not a problem. Re: "Eternal" cover art work & tracklist

They actually put the album available for download on Japanese Amazon last night, I've listened to it today. Well, I liked it a lot. I think I was a bit more excited about Nemesis, but that is because all those experiments seemed intriguing. Here we have a very classic Stratovarius, although, I thin...

Re: Nightwish - Endless Forms Most Beautiful

So, here are two cents more. There's been a lot of discussion about the album, even before it leaked in its entirety. People were mainly complaining about Floor's "weak" vocals on Elan. I honestly cannot understand such claims, perhaps because I've long become indifferent to all kinds of headbanging...

Jani also put out a video digest of vocal sessions some time ago.

There are tiny excerpts of new music here and there. Sounds quite promising, in my opinion, especially that piece at the very end. Nightwish-scale))

Happened to listen to the Allen/Lande album. It sounds really refreshing for me. After the Avalons I thought that I'm not interested in Tolkki's music anymore. Of course, on the Great Divide he is still very repetitive, but it feels like some of his melodies never get old)))

Why are you such a drama queen, Flavio? The people here were just fooling around with the song names. And then you come and start to show off your "moral superiority". Isn't that kind of pathetic? People don't get banned here, but if you go on like this you will have to make yourself yet one more ac...

Re: tolkki samples

This album is Tolkki's worst metal album ever. Self Titled was an ill-advised style shift that Tolkki wasn't terribly interesting with, but this album is just embarassing. "Rise of the Fourth Reich" sounds every bit as bad as "Father" off of Hymn to Life, the epic is underwhelming. I'd say maybe 2-...
