Re: Timo Tolkki's review of Polaris
I think I understand why Tolkki said there was no soul. It is normal. Of course all the strato songs he wrote a lot more to him than anyone else. they were his creations straight from the heart and then some other people take over his name and start do the same stuff with the only exeption being tha...

Re: Symphony X question
Well, this is a very hard question since we don't know what you do like. For one person a song can mean everything and for another person it can mean nothing. My favourite is "Of Sins and Shadows" I thought of that while writing the post. But then I thought that lets open the conversation and give ...

I haven't bought any albums yet even though they were one of my favourite bands back when I got into metal. I like some songs I have heard a lot. ( Evolution, Inferno, Set the World on Fire) But...

They are all great. But Higher We Go ranks Kotipelto quite high and on the other hand Forever is Today from Lauri is also one of the best.

Emancipation Suites - Lets just say, that after this I'm not least bit surprised that Lauri Porra is descendant of Jean Sibelius. ;) 5/5 Absolutely! I listen to them over and over again! I would rather someone say they didn't like an album and were being honest about it then to hear them say they l...

Forever is Today.
Someone has to go vote for Higher We Go as it deserves at least one vote. Actually each one of them deserves that.
Such a great album that I would vote for all of them if I could

I thought this band deserved it's own topic. It is not that well known outside of finland but they should be. They just signed with spinefarm and there is a third album on the way. They play Melodic Metal with lots of Hard Rock influence. Judge yourself do you like it and what do you think about it....

Still, seems a bit odd that they don't record their albums in Finnish. (Or if they do, somebody's been lying to me.) Granted that they're apparently pretty popular in their home country. At least, none that I remember... was there a Finnish recording of Papillon? I know it was multilingual, w...
