Re: Money in music, money in Stratovarius
Money is made in live music, There I said it. Tell me your secret. I've played Chopin petrushkas in front of people as long as I can remember. Still, they don't give me a dime even when I explicitly asked because I had no money for the bus. Everything is a cloud, or it seems to be! Where are you pl...

Re: Money in music, money in Stratovarius
Money is made in live music, There I said it. Go out an gig a shit ton, then when that is done sell stuff to the people who already paid to come and watch, Double Sale. The modern day music industry (At least were I am) revolves around live music, a CD is or .mp3 digital download is merely merchandi...

Matias Kupiainen's work before Stratovarius
G'day guys I searched the forums but I couldn't find the info I wanted. (If it is in another post, sorry. =P) I've been looking for the recordings he did with Risto and all of his solo project stuff (The "Boogie" songs) before he joined Startovarius for a little while with no luck. Is there a place ...

Re: What do you expect for the next album?
JPR: I just think the more raw sound of late 90's Metal is better than the current standard, it's too technology based I completely agree, that happens to me in Gather the faithfull, it's like being listening some disco music sometimes. It work's for CO but I don't think so much for Stratvarius, bu...

Re: What do you expect for the next album?
Well I just want to put the example of Sonata Arctica out there, they started very power metal and have developed in there last album to be quite progressive, as fresh as there change was in Unia and DOG I still prefered their early material. With Stratovarius, I'm open to them become more progressi...

Re: Babylon and Jörg Michael
I noticed it on the first time and pay notice to it every time I listen to that song. I've also spoken about it with some of my friends, some of those being musicians. Everyone agrees with me that that early snare hit is there just to spice things up. That couldn't have gone unnoticed in the studio...

Anyone know what gear TT was running during Episode?
Episode is my favorite album and the tone that TT got was just perfection IMO, and in the future I am aiming to a get a similar sound. I'm more interested in studio gear than live gear but I would still like to know that

Babylon and Jörg Michael
I've always wondered about this but at 2:28 in the Baybon, Jörg sounds early on just that one snare hit, is this a mistake or just musical genius? It doesn't sound bad I've just always been intruiged. :) Alternately I got a defective copy of the Episode Album :buh: (Which I hope not), but has anyone...
