I just watched him play a couple months ago during a Latin American tour he did last year. He was looking in much better shape/spirits than when he did those Spain tours a while ago. I think he's doing well for himself :)
That's good to see. Hopefully, Tolkki's health will continue to improve.

Cool again! Tolkki's solo during Fright Night was very interesting to me. I love legato+tapping during guitar solos! :headbang:

Re: video game music

Well, I played two versions of Ys III a few weeks ago. The original PC-88 version and the PC-Engine / TurboGrafx-16 version. For the PC-88 version, I found the controls to be shoddy at best, especially when jumping and maneuvering around rough terrain. I also found the lack of gravitational accelera...

I typed out some shit, must have got deleted. Send me some of your music in a PM.
I'll send you some samples of my work. I know that A10 has also expressed interest in hearing my music, so I'll send him some samples too, out of courtesy. I've got to think of what songs to share, first.

Have you ever tried cauliflower crust pizza?? It’s pretty good. :) I've had that before, and it was really tasty, but I'll never eat it again and I'll tell you why. Ever since a few months ago, I've noticed that certain foods can get stuck behind my palate, or somewhere in my nasopharynx. Foods tha...

Roger Waters is anti Donald Trump while timo apparently admires him, according to that one podcast he's doing sporadically on YouTube. Timo Tolkki admires Donald Trump? Whatever happened to "no borders, no laws any kind"? Which podcast did he say that in? It was the first episode of h...

I don't believe I ever had a portable MP3 player. I would, and still sometimes do, listen to CDs on my parents' 80's audio system. It looked like this, except it was also housed in a wooden cabinet with shelves. http://www.nrpavs.co.nz/archive_2_16/Sold_2_16_htm/Images/Kenwood_KC-208_KM-208_w1_700x3...

Yeah, my Grandfather is a lucky guy. He can seemingly eat crap food and suffer no ill effects. He has a full head of hair, too! I agree. Have you heard of opus? It's a lossy audio codec that has the best quality / size ratio that I know of. It's been a while since I last tested it, but I remember getting the bit rate down to 112 kbps without audible compression artifacts. Since then, others have claimed that 96 kbps sounds lossless, ...

My other problem is a lot of the shit I buy virtually has DRM or some other thing that doesn't let me change the mp3 tags to my liking.
