There was an interview with Kotipelto on Facebook a few weeks ago... long story short, they have barely even started because of the pandemic. I was kind of bummed.

Guys, I read on zuckerbook on a comment that strato posted that next year there might be some stuff in the works? Unless I wss just dreaming. Maybe I'm wrong, but I wouldn't be surprised if Stratovarius recorded their next album already, production & all, but are just holding off on releasing...

Okay. Listen here, Flavio. I only commented because I absolutely DO NOT want the belly of Timo Tolkki.  I 1,000,000% agree with you. The mix on Enigma and Stormcrow lack brightness and clarity, especially Stormcrow. Stormcrow is a perfect example of how NOT to mix drums for power metal....

Re: Stratovarius (2005)

Zenith knows more about the audio compressions formats other than the flac I know of. They are supposed to be pretty good. Remember windows audio format? Hahahahaha. WavPack is the lesser known lossless audio compression format that, with extreme settings, outperforms FLAC. However, the amount of t...

Re: What bands / albums do you recommend?

I can confirm that Pagan's Mind is a fantastic band. Check them out, if you haven't already, A10 :headbang: They were decent, but did not like them. I heard Celestial Entrance. I vaguely remember them as a wall of sound with no hooks. I could be way off base as its been a while. Do they have better...

Re: What are you playing?

Not a fad at all. When it was first released, it felt a bit primitive- but they added a lot of elements to the game since then. Raids, battle, PVP, and trading, for example. Its a mobile game so you're never really "done" and there are paywalls here and there, but I do enjoy it. Hmm... Interesting....

CORRECT ME IF I'M WRONG, some parts of the songs were clipping. Color me surprised. The part in Zenith of Power where Hitler comes in is clipped somewhat, but It's not something that is easily audible. As for the question of most masculine album after TT, s/t and Nemesis, that's a hard question. The rest are very close to each other in terms of testosterone present. Re: Stratovarius (2005)

I'd also place it as the second worst Stratovarius album, but that's not really saying much (because Stratovarius is such a god-tier band that even their weakest material is still quite strong). The issue I have with it, really, is that it consists of far too many mid-paced tracks with no speedsters...

I finally got around to listening to Angra's Angels Cry on my badass studio monitors. I listened twice to get a good feel.
