Also Gus G. gave us Power Metal awesomeness with Dream Evil, Mystic Prophecy and Firewind. The first 2 mentioned still release great stuff even without him. Especially Mystic Prophecy. No. Yes. Firewind last album was awesome. "In The Night" from Dream Evil is also great and Mystic Prophecy kicks a...

Personally, I liked that style a lot better than the less operatic style she used after those albums. An example: the original version of Sleeping Sun sounds ...

Firefox. It's the fastest and most customizable. Linux has other fast browsers such as Galeon, but they don't have the same features. Opera feels a lot heavier and slower to me.

Wait... They have an album titled Eliptica? I didn't know they were into geometry. Maybe their second album should have been titled Hyperbolica. Silence doesn't seem appropriate.

Re: Scorpions Farewell "We have reached the end of the road
Whatever dude. Since they disappeared from the public scene and it's a very old band, waaay past its glory days, I thought they had disbanded or something... Not to mention that I haven't heard many hard rockers talking about the band, which only reinforced the idea that they were not playing. I nev...

Re: Immigration in europe and scandinavia
Exactly, so my point is that the invasions weren't any less terrible for any of them than it was for, let's say, the Incas, the Mayans and the Aztecs. But still, what I want to emphasize is that it is very difficult to talk about original inhabitants. People use the term lightly. And there are no "p...

Re: Immigration in europe and scandinavia
Americas colonisation have nothing to do with "European colonisation", Europe countries invading other Europe countries, etc, etc. It's a completely different thing. How so? Again, in terms of time frames, it's a different situation, no doubt. But in general terms, putting time frames aside, an inv...

Re: Immigration in europe and scandinavia
It's true that the time frame of European settlements is very broad, but we do know when lots of populations were conquered, invaded, colonized, etc., even though those events happened over thousands of years. Although issues regarding indigenous peoples in Europe may seem mild in comparison to what...

Re: Immigration in europe and scandinavia
I wouldn't be too sure about that... Even if they were there before, they still came from somewhere else, but in any case, there's just too much heterogeneity to claim that any people are the original inhabitants of a particular land. What about the Roman Empire, for example? The Romans have intermi...

Re: Immigration in europe and scandinavia
I just bought a hamster :) Hamsters are worse than the Muslims living in Europe. I can see why an uncontrolled movement of hamsters into Europe could cause upset. Check out South Park's episodes 1210 and 1211. If guinea pigs can do that, hamsters must be terrifying. http://img200.imageshack.us/img2...

Re: Immigration in europe and scandinavia
I (and I believe many other Europeans) tend to feel a bit more awkward about Islamic traditions, especially the role of women in that religion and the stark contrast with women in modern European society. Again, we cannot really talk about European society here. The treatment women receive in Denma...

Re: Immigration in europe and scandinavia
if I ever go there I don't want to be a parasite that leeches the government resources, I'd work my way up as I think any immigrant should do. Be very careful here not to stigmatize immigrants (including, and especially, Muslims). That sort of thinking is what often creates intolerance and encourag...

Re: CHRISTOPHER LEE To Release 'Symphonic Metal' Album
I hope he's NOT Lione. Fabio is awesome, but remember, Christopher Lee is also a singer, so he will be singing on this album. I didn't like the mp3 samples. I didn't like Lee's singing style. It doesn't sound like metal at all, but more like a Broadway musical. I'm not saying that's necessarily bad...

Re: Argentine Men Marry in Latin America’s First Same-Sex Marria
Correction: Tierra del Fuego is a province, not a state. There are no states in Argentina. I saw this on the newspapers a while ago. I'm glad same-sex marriages are becoming legal in Argentina. I think it is definitely a step in the right direction. Unfortunately, I just read that 60% of Argentines ...
