Re: revolution renaissance website!
The only problem that I have when I read through the bio of RR, is that again the description shows it as Tolkki's band. It says all the time things like TTs legacy in Strato, 95% songwriting, continuing his legacy, and so on. If it really goes that way, RR might face such problems like Stratovarius...

Re: The Economy
It's all so easy... The Great Illusion is crumbling. Now, all the asserters of uncontrolled capitalism are nowhere to be seen or heard. Let's pray that the time really has come, that neo-liberalism has ended and social market economy will establish (again) as the one and only way, to have a prosperi...

Re: The Economy
There is one single word describing how all this could happen; I never read it so frequently before like these days in the newspapers. This is why all this gigantic bubble could build up and now implode. This is why companys throw out employees just to please "the market", that some fond managers co...

Re: Question about a Stratovarius song
I was listening to "I walk to my own song" the other day and then I took a glance at the lyrics in the cover booklet. Now in the booklet to the cd I have it says in the chorus "high I fly, I touch the sky, far above the frozen minds" However in the song it really sounds like Kotipelto is saying "hi...

Burn After Reading :lol: :lol: :lol: That's the movie I'm going to see next. Good to know you liked it. Last one I went to see was: Tropic Thunder For fans of Platoon and Apocalypse Now eyewateringly hilarious war-movie within a war-movie directed and starred by Ben Stiller. I honestly can't recall...

Re: Radical Islamic cleric issues fatwa against Paul McCartney
That was the Pat Robertson and Jerry Falwell ,John Hagee version of the story. They have said that secularism opened the door to this and caused the USA to lose favor with god. I can’t imagine that gods work comes from killing each other but rather from loving and saving each other. If we kill we l...

Yesterday I watched Der Baader Meinhof Komplex , a very authentic movie about the deeds of the 1st and 2nd generation of the terroristic German "Rote Armee Fraktion". Probably one of the best movies made in Germany (I know that most of our movies suck! :lol: Most of them are melancholic comedys and...

Don't forget Der Untergang. Or Werner Herzog. Or Uwe Boll, the worst director of all times. :D @BEG: I don't say I wouldn't have acted like Gibson's character if someone had killed my children (though I hope I would have not...;-)). All I say is that this movie has absolutely no message. It's just ...

Re: Recently seen movies
Speaking of the late Heath Ledger, I just saw a film that he co-starred in several years ago. It was "The Patriot" with Mel Gibson, which is in all probability the best film that I've ever seen that deals with the American Revolution. I cannot judge wether the movie is the best one dealing with the...

I'd give Gore a truckload of carbon credits to drop by here (Stratoforum) to debate global warming with me, and not to mention ask how many millions he's made off of all of his bullshit books, movies, and speaking engagments. Well I refer to the caption of this thread (a pity that the poll doesn't refer to it) and say: Yes, global warming is a way higher threat than a nuclear attack against ANY city on this planet.

@Miditek: Sometimes I wonder how media can have so much power and influence. Your opinion is probably as much influenced by your media as mine by ours. I have no illusions about that. What we believe being our own opinions is based on a wide basis that's created by what the media is showing as "trut...

@stratohawk, a question(you don't have to answer). ;) You are a pilot, right? How would you f...

The major global problem is not terrorism (though undoubtedly in some regions it definitely is). But it's of highest interest of some groups/governments/influences to keep the picture of a worldwide threat alive.
