Re: Mike Portnoy KICKED OUT from ehem... well... that band!
Good discussion, guys! I think it's a very business like move to kick MP out of AX7; you would think they would have more gratitude and empathy towards a world class drummer that decided to help out and fill the shoes of a deceased band member? MP's just left his band of 20+ years and going through ...

Re: Jani Liimatainen is Dead ?
I think Cain's Offering is one of the top 10 best power metal albums I've ever heard. The lyrics, arrangements, melodies, solos, and over all composition and flow of the album were top tier imo. It's a shame that there isn't anymore PR or news regarding Cain's Offering

Re: New album "Elysium", Jan 12 2011. Single on Nov 26
Regarding the Tolkki argument, past is gone, life goes on. The situation is what it is and now I am pretty happy with all the music from the Stratovarius family; it's great! Don't get me wrong, I loved polaris (must have listened to it a hundred times), but the only gripe I have about it are the lyr...

Re: Some extremely bad news
I attend to internation rockkoncerts 4-5-6 times in a month. I've shitload of tickets/photos/guitar picks. But I've only one drumstick, and it is from Jörg. But I wouldn't change it for the all drumsticks of the shows I've ever seen. After a strato show, Jorg came out with a six pack of beers, gave...

Good lineup!!! Has Matos gained some weigh lately? Guy looks fat. Anyhow. He's a damn great singer and a incredible upgrade from tolkki's last singer. And Kainulainen is back! Yes! Great! He's a great bassist. Full of life on the strings and dead on scene. Anyhow, this looks like another great band...

@ Robo - I liked most of those you posted. That xystus is bad ass, reminds of SX's the odyssey. That diffusion and the gypsy track were cool too. Found this band recently, can't stop listening to them. They are thrash with progressive elements and they've got a damn decent singer http://www.youtube....

I have been studying this in college for the last three years, I know what I am talking about. Have you ever thought that you don't know what you're talking about? Re: Why does Japan always get bonus tracks?
From a neutral standpoint, there are too many people on planet earth. Nature (Or God, or good luck on our part) has always had a way of levelling this out with massive war, or more often plague, but with medical science being what it is, (As well as nukes being what they are for the biggest countri...

Re: Why does Japan always get bonus tracks?
^ I can't believe people find it funny to joke about or find it acceptable to drop a Nuclear bomb on any human being. Let's drop a nuke on your head or family and see how funny that'd be. The bonus track thing with Japan has less to do with the artist and more with the record companies. They want to...

Awesome cover! I love Syu's playing; it's very clean, controlled and technical! I liked the different take on the song! The singer's not bad either, you just gotta not compare him to Kotipelto's voice to hear the beauty of it
