Re: Blind Guardian
Anxiously waiting the order to arrive. I have ridiculously high expectations. At very least it will be a better album than A Twist in the Myth. Its latter half was worst Guardian ever.

Re: Recommend Me: Aerosmith
There's been so much happening in Aerosmith's music, from proto-heavy to 90s ballads, much like Scorpions. You should definitely check out the self-titled debut album and Toys in the Attic from the older era. Pump and Get a Grip might be my favorite albums from them overally though. :) But I've hear...

Re: Sad news about Revolution Renaissance
I don't think he's giving up. He's a very producive musician, where will he go with all his ideas from now on if he's not making them into songs anymore? Be this quitting thing yet another publicity stunt or for real, he'll probably be back, somehow. He can't help his need to express himself.

Re: Polaris position in Stratovarius discography (rank)
Fair enough. I agree with your point. At least, music SHOULD be between the listener and the music. No rationalizing or listening to others should affect it. I don't know if it always goes like this, though. Other people's opinions might get in the way. Someone might even adapt his/her music taste f...

Re: Polaris position in Stratovarius discography (rank)
Yeah, well, that's like, your opinion, man. Look, people see things differently. Art is not objective. In fact, that's kind of the whole point of art. That's why we get people who like 50 Cent more than Stratovarius. Being a 'newbie' has nothing to do with anything. If people don't see things the s...

Re: Polaris position in Stratovarius discography (rank)
Plus, need to note that a bad album would lead, or almost lead, the charts if it was the newest. By no means is Polaris bad, but you can see from the ridiculously high number one votes that either people think it's the freshest and thus sounds the best, OR they don't know (all the) other albums. May...

I remember a Toronto Maple Leafs fan selling himself to become a fan of another team since Toronto has played so bad for a long time. I never got to know the final prize and his new team, though.

Got it today. Wonderful as expected, although I think they should have spruced up the studio disc a bit. Didn't really bother looking at the track listing before I purchased it, but they should have included the Deep Unknown remix and "Second Sight", the Japanese bonus. Absolutely, not to speak of ...

Babylon: yeah, I thought you're going to say Music. It was a big and boring song for me, too, but whenever I think of the lyrics I find the beauty of Uncle Roland's philosophy there, and the music actually becomes pretty ok too. :P Yea I suppose the lyrics aren't bad, but I could never get into thi...

Re: Gamma Ray - To The Metal..... (released).
I've listened to this CD few times more and I think it is a good album, but... in Poland we say "the good is an enemy of better". I mean if i.e Hammerfall or Sabaton (which produce mediocre music) wrote "To the Metal" I would say awesome, but for Gamma Ray, i say "you can do better :)" Sorry Hammer...

Also, if this really was supposed to be a cash-in, don't you think he would've chosen all of Dio's big hits like Holy Diver, Rainbow In The Dark, Hungry For Heaven, Last In Line, We Rock, King Of Rock'n'Roll and so on? Yeah, he would have. But this is due respect more than due money as I said alrea...

Re: Helloween currently in the studio
Yeah, I know you, Ragehead, know it's now "a real" album. It's something else. It's a trick. It's a joke. It's Helloween! If they lost one fan because of the album, that fan never got what's so great in Helloween in the first place. I still can't think why people even think Unarmed is some new album...

Re: Jorn Lande to release Dio Tribute in July
Not buying it because of the tracklisting. For me this isn't what Dio represented at his best, other than 11. Lonely Is The Word / Letters From Earth (2010 version) ! But what 2010 version? I understand, though, that this includes many songs (supposedly) written by Dio himself. I also do hope that t...

I think Helloween and Stratovarius are the only bands for me that always seem to deliver, automatically, even if it's against common view. Usually, they don´t fail. Let´s see what Weiki, Sascha and Andi can create. Don't forget Markus. Also, at least on Gambling, the drums were basically "written" by Dani, too. It's the biggest loss to the metal community ever. Well, come to think of it... Yes, yes it is. At this stage, though, it's not important for me to think if there is a metal community or not. I think they'll need to release an album like that just to get all the fans back they've scared away with Unarmed. Because Unarmed is, for some reason, usually listed as a studio album (not compilation / remake), you think they suddenly change their style completely? Apparently you have no idea abo...

I just want some epic layering. Heck no! Kotipelto is so good interpreting whatever he sings, I would never want to hide his weaknesses (Are there? Not that I know of. Not being able to sing some sickly high notes like on Father Time chorus is hardly a weakness... There's so much more in his interp...

Awesome! I love those cascading tides of vocals. This is exactly why Guardian has gone worse for me. I liked one raspy Hansi more than zillion high Hansis. I don't like the overly-layered production. This time, though, the 30 seconds of the new song sounds more awesome than anything from A Twist in...
