First I've heard about it, but it sounds like a fucking great idea to me! :D
My hair touch my shoulders / My eyes are
ice blue / I walk in Mom's kitchen / With
dirty wet shoes / I eat with my fingers / I
like to bite nails / When I'm bored I watch
Baywatch / When everything else fails / I
am dangerous!

I came across that same in info on tributealbum. That much more i know that a band called Kaledon will cover "Father Time" on that album. The album will be released through Northwind Records (http://www.northwindrecords.com)

That's all I know and find in the net about that album... If someone knows more, please post your knowledge here... =P

Highlord kicks some serious ass! And they have quite a personality...their recording of Saint Seiya's Pegazus Fantasy was awesome!

Hi, I'm a friend of Northwind records boss, I'm going to meet him so I can tell you more. About Highlord, they are from Italy, a great power-prog metal band singing in english. They have a very great voice and fast drums-keys-guitars. I suggest you to buy "When the aurora falls..." album. I personally can sell them even abroad, because I have many copies of them. The price is only 14,00 euro including delivery costs!!
If you want to order a copy, mail me: info@dreamlive.it
I have many other bands stuff, like Labyrinth, Skylark, Edenbridge, very interesting and good metal music, very low-priced. Ah, and even the Hellowee tribute, where even Sonata Arctica play... very amazing!

The problem is to pick out 15 Strato songs to cover because the StratoSongs are all so good!
I will give my hypothesis later!

If this is true, this news has made my day! This sounds wonderful, but, I have never heard of those bands, either!
However, come November you can bet I'll plunk down my $13.00, or whatever, for a copy! Strato deserves this....I'm glad this tribute is FINALLY here close at hand! :rvd:

Well I think all those bands are Italian because the recordlabel is... But it'll be interesting to hear how those classic Strato -tunes sound when played by another band. Some of us have heard Sonata Arctica covering live Black Diamond, but you can't really count that since it's been performed as more of a joke :D
It would have been greater if Strato -tribute would have included a bit more "known" bands. I think that Edguy could have been one as Tolkki has mixed their albums, and one a bit more interesting would have been Michael Kiske's Supared!!! And then maybe Sonata Arctica, Thunderstone and Symphony X since they have toured together and stuff (Romeo appearing on Kotipelto's solo albums)... We'll just have to wait and see, maybe that will happen too... :)
Strato certainly deserves all tribute albums people come up to make... :D

Sonata's cover of Black Diamond was a joke, but I've heard that done in seriousness, it is good.
Don't forget Sonata's cover of Metallica's Fade to Black was better than the orginial according to some people!

FTB really was great, although they could have "Sonatized" it like they did on Scorpions's Still Loving You which, in my oppinion, is the best cover made by anyone... :D
Maybe, as Twilightsymphony said, there could be more vary range of bands on the tribute album, not all power etc metalbands...
