Not only DVD is delayed, but also Within Infinity, the StratoTribute album.

My guess delayed for the same reasons.....:(

that would be fun!

anyway, i´m sure helloween nor iron maiden nor blind guardian will tribute strato, as they all came before it...but i can point some good new bands that can have that honour...not those anonymous bands...they suck!

Chillax. Iron Maiden had a tribute album called "A Call To Irons" filled with no-name bands and they did a very nice job. I've heard Southern Cross cover Stratovarius before, and they were superb.

I'm not convinced of idea of tributte albums at all. Usually bands try to re arrange a song to sound as different as possible but not reasonable. Can you imagine for examole 'Black Diamond' with guitars tunned very low, with vocal like in death metal bands? Awful. On the other hand recording song in the same way as orginal one seems pointless and only for pleasure - in this case I can tolerate tribute albums.
So where does the power come from to see the race to its end?
From within.

Oh man these Kaledeon-guys are really bad.
Their music ashame everyones Metal Heart.
The singer has a horrible voice. Image
They are also a poor imitation of Rhapsody.

Great newcomer-bands like Sonata Arctica shall have the honor to cover Stratovarius.

The voice might not be bad at some points it reminds me a bit of Kai hansen, but the pronounciation of English is 0/10.

For me STRATOVARIUS deserve a tribute album. That is what counts.

If the bands who will play are good or not, i don´t want to know.

For example i heard the tribute to scorpions and the track "Blackout" (stratovarius) is very good, like "send me an angel" (sonata artica, i think).

I would like to listen André Matos and Michael Kiske to sing a song on a tribute to STRATOVARIUS. And of couse guys like sonata artica, rhapsody and nightwish. I think with this kind of people, the tribute album will be very good.

And these bands arent good enough to do a Strato-tribute just because you dont know them? Please...

Anonymous isnt a synonim of Bad...
Before being famous Pink Floyd, Deep Purple, Van Halen, Iron Maiden, Helloween, Stratovarius, Sonata Arctica et caetera et caetera...were anonymous to the public no?

So please, think before posting...and give to these bands a chance, maybe they'll do a great job, like the bands of Keeper of Jericho 1&2, maybe not...lets see before free judgment.

But it's only my fucking opinion

like someone has said, this is a tribute album made by an italian label, with italian bands.

And even if they are not as famous,or as good as the best metal bands,i can assure you that they are very good.

I have seen two times metal kings and they are great! :D

they have a very powerfull singer...

and also desdaemona are a well known italian band.

Not as the international ones, but here in italya we do know them well

Since there are only Italian bands, I would've liked to hear Rhapsody on it. They could have done a great version of songs like Visions, Twilight Symphony, Destiny etc.

guys i think that meaning of word tribute is unknown to you...tribute, is paying homage to certain band, based on their influence in this band...that means it is impossible for blind guardian, helloween, maiden or such bands to pay homage to them, because they existed before them, and thus they could not have been influenced by them...not even dream theater or iced earth which started after them couldn`t be influenced by them because they started just few years after, and strato after fright night, was not an influence to anyone...from the mentioned bands only possible are rhapsody, nightwish (which after once would be probably very silly) and sonata arctica...

To hear Sonata play some classy stratostuff NOW would be really great,
since Tony's singing has improved tenfold from their starting times. :P

But do they have the interest to do that? I think this is the biggest problem. :P

Quite true.. Well, I've seen Sonata play Black Diamond once (on Infinite Visions DVD you can see them), who knows.. and it'd surely be, at least, interesting to see Tarja from Nightwish singing in Strato songs

Post by italy » Thu Mar 24, 2005 4:04 pm

As you probably known Jorg Michael is the kaledon's drummer in their forthcoming new album...
I mean... if this band isn't good why a big name like him joined them for their new album???
Have you heard their music?? I mean their albums?? they are great! trust me...
