How long you´ve been listening to Stratovarius?

I started to listen Stratovarius 8 years ago...

I can also remember the first song that change my musical-life:

That was about 3½ years ago, when a friend sent me the Episode album, then I was converted to Stratovarius... and power metal. Before that I was only into black/death metal.

Since November 1997, when they were about to come to Argentina. I first listened to "The Kiss Of Judas" which was the promoting song for the concert. And when later I listened to "Black Diamond".... I got goose-bumps, well I can´t explain it with words but from that very moment I knew Stratovarius was the BEST BAND I´ve ever, ever heard and just what I longed for :luv1:

Nah i just found out about them last year...got into DragonForce first of all and then came Strato....never looked back since then

I've been listening to Stratovarius since Episode, so that's.. *browses record shelf* since 1996. The album had just been released and a friend had bought it and played it to me, and all I could think was "wow". Next week I bought it myself too. *smiles*

As for me, I've started listening to Stratovarius when I bought Visions of Europe from an underground record store (one of the few around here that sells decent metal). It was a bit before that, that I started playing the electric guitar, and it made me change my tuning to D# just so that I could play along

It's been the tuning on my main guitars since then.

I'm yet to see Stratovarius live, but if I have to travel to see them.. so be it!

And I'll bring my guitar with the flaming Stratovarius sticker on it to see if they can sign it

I'm a new fan, I listened to stratovarius for the first time 3 years ago... one friend just sent me a song through the internet, and it was "hunting high and low". I thought the song was awesome and then I started listening to all the stratovarius songs and loved it.

No... it's just the name of a special movement of the man character of an rpg game called final fantasy 8. Some years ago I was into video games and this was my favorite game.

i listened to stratovarius(only them, no other band) madly for 2 years, until 2003, and from then on i listen to them very rarely. it's not interesting anymore, i've learned all the songs by heart. besides, i have other 3000 songs in my pc to choose from..

I actually haven't started listening to stratovarius yet. I have a few cds, and I've known about them for 3 or 4 years..... but never got around to putting them in the CD player. I've been to preoccupied with Sonata Arctica and Nightwish! :)
