Dream Setlist

After proceeding to a little test, it appeared that if one votes several times for the same song, it indeed increases its rank. Do you think it is fair? And if not, should Jens try&sort that out? IMO, it should not work this way, because I think it's wronging the system and its goal...

I think it's sad that now when there's a poll where you can vote for those rarely/never played songs, maybe even favourites, people still vote for songs that are heard and heard and heard and heard and yet again heard live like Black Diamond.

I mean if you want to hear songs that are rarely played live you could just ditch those songs that have been heard times and times again, like Black Diamond, from the list in order to get some rare material on the setlist.

But then again, if your ultimate favourite song is a song like Black Diamond that you have heard thousand of times and want to hear a thousand more, then well. I could have something to say, but it's your opinnion.

But overall I think it's bit sad.

Oh my goodness, I agree with you 110 % ! I hope the stratoguys are also quite fed up playing the same songs over and over again and play some more rarely played song, like Run Away :D

I agree. In hindsight i realized that i had forgotten Legions, but....Christ, like Legions wouldn't make it into the top 18.

Bah. Regardless of what voting habits people display, when all is said and done it's going to be sorted out, i'm sure. It would have to be, otherwise there would be a bunch of extraneous votes for Fatherr Time and Black Diamone and Hunting High Adn Low that would be just hanging around.....

Hey, they didn't ask for our oppinion if they didn't want to play the most favourite songs of the fans! they knew in forehand we would vote for those songs. and it's our oppinion, if they say "we don't want to play Black Diamond anymore" they don't play it!

aah... I'm sorry you did not get my point :? no in fact I meant that if you vote, for example like this :

*030366
*030366
*030366
*030366
*030366
*030366
*030366
*030366
*030366
*030366
*030366
*030366
*030366

then you'll have indeed 030366's rank increased, not by 1 vote, but by 18 ! and that means 3 people can vote for the same song together, and so it would have 18*3=54 votes more! just because of 3 people! I think it's "cheating"... see?

I agree. Sorry i missed the point the first time..

I'm sure they'll sort it out the way they feel is appropriate. They are fairly minded, i believe. :)

lol ! never mind :)

yes I think you're right, they'll find a way...

but as Stratohawk pointed out in the 'big' topic, people are also creating several accounts to get more votes... it's gonna be tricky for them to sort that out ! let's see... 8)

by the way I'm pretty upset there are no 'old' songs (yes I know we have HoldOTYD, and Distant Skies, but still... eagleheart?? :? )

what do think about that?

Hey, wait a minute, I voted for distant skies! 8)

It's hard to imagine, when you've got a discography as big as Stratovarius', how the hell do you narrow down which songs to play and which not to? Especially when you've already got "required" songs like Black Diamond and Kiss Of Judas and Hunting High And Low..

(1438+13)

Voting for one song 3 or 5 times is not a problem, but 18? :/
But Jens told us, that he doesn't much care about it, he already knows, what the big hits are.
