song poll
Post
by JensJohansson » Fri Mar 04, 2005 9:56 pm
The poll is still open of course!
If your favorite song is not one of the top 18, there is not much use in trying to "game the system" by registering multiple times or changing your vote.. because we will also consider things like this
http://www.stratovarius.com/forum/songpoll.pl?antistuff
... and of course we'll consider what songs are appropriate in general! Not just blindly play wahtever setlist this vote gives. We will play some new songs too, you just wait!!!!!!!!! But I think you guys knew all that already.
Even without antistuff some dupe voting is not counted. Antistuff just lowers the bar, a lot..
Jens.

I'm glad to see that there's still some legitamacy to this poll

Thanks Jens. I would be honored to hear new material played on this upcoming tour! I will also feel honored to sing along with your old material/my favorite band for the first time! I promise to sing LOUD!

BTW, I noticed that more Stratovarius dates are being advertised at the ticketmaster website. Are these dates confirmed yet? Jens, I sent a PM telling you how much I love your music. I would love to know that you at least read my message. Thanks in advance.

Yes, you MUST play Learning to Fly. It's a fucking crazy song, and I bet it would be cool played live. And it was not played on the last tour.

I only voted once---lazyass as I am I'm not about to write those songs again just to give them a second vote!

Well, the fact is, that there were several people, who created a new account, just to vote again. I remember, that someone voted for two songs, so 9 for both, but he registered again, and he voted after himself... so it was very easy to see, that he cheated. And by the IP, it is even easier to see, that there were fake-accounts.
Voting with the same account again never worked. Only your first post count as a vote-post.

Since this thread has the legitimate votes, I felt it was important to keep this towards the top. May I suggest making this a sticky? (That's after you PM me Jens

Well, let's keep this thread as a secret.

BTW, this top-18 voting is not a death-or-life thingy. Of course, it matters a lot, but I don't think, that the setlist will contain all the top-18 songs, and I'm sure, that it will contain some songs, that were not in the most wanted 18.

Does this thread still apply Jens? Because there must have been some tampering with the votes! Some of my favorite Strato. songs have been knocked off the list
Off topic: It's been a week since May began. When are thost tour dates going to be confirmed!!!!???? The anticipation is killing me

Hey I got an idea, why don't you guys just play the songs you enjoy the most playing ? I'm quite sure those are the ones you ply best

Not a bad idea. But what if they enjoy all of them?

They're humans like us, I'm pretty sure they have their favourites too.

Hey, a great idea. And as you said they also are humans so they must have their favourites. Maybe a gig played that way would sound very interesting.

Well, there are not too many melodies. :/ How can people be so damn unmelodistic?

I like the simple songs as well, but where are the melodic metal songs?

But I bet, we won't let the Stratoguys down from the stage, if they have not played 3 hours for us.

Actually Season Of Change is back in the top 18. But Faher Time and HH&L are still there, that's lame...
