Maybe because we only saw them in year and year? or because we're crazy? or because the europeans like to drink beer and just bang the head instead of jump as a frog and scream like a cow? :P 8) or they dont like to get smashed on the first rows like us? hehe...there the crowd are polite...we're just a bunch of crazy guys smashing each other to see them near.

Hmm, don't jump? Don't smash? Well, okay, during a StratoConcert, we don't smash each other, but we do jump! At least me. :D But I'm generally a jumper, so maybe I'm just an exception. I would like to be on a South-American concert once. That must be great.

If someone would smash me when I´m standing in the first row of a concert I would punch in his face 8) I´m defenitley not going to a concert for a fray  for me is better uninterrupted headbanging, taking fotos, drinking beer, sing and shout along (and maybe laugh when I see this Swedish Power Rangers this year before Strato Image)

Look...its a hell the first rows...im 20 years old and im too old for that! its like a flesh cake, sometimes you cant breathe so well...specially in the front of the middle of stage. I remember when Tapio, the sound engineer of Koti's last tour said to me: "i cant believe that boys like to be smashed and get wet so much in that crowd to be near of stage, seems like hell..." :D

oh...hehe, we have a pissed guy here :D well...if you "can" move your arms to punch somebody...u're lucky. I remember when i saw HammerFall in 2001...was a total hell, some guys jumped on the stage...you know, seems a mess, but its cool. On Maiden last year was like a half of a soccer field really F U L L of people...really hot, wet and smashing. Thats our way to watch shows...i bet that in Spain and Italy its the same.

Okay, anyone who says anything like that about the Iron Maiden show in Greece is a liar. I almost got killed, literally. I had 15 people trampling me. It ruled! It was by far the most insane gig I've been to (and yes it was an outdoor one with 18,000 people) and I've been to some pretty freakin' insane gigs, like Nile/Dying Fetus, Kreator/Dark Tranquility and Rotting Christ!

Well I guess its just other Europeans. Greeks are as crazy, if not more so, than Latinos. And I'm half Colombian! So believe what I say!

So..Near my city is this World Youth Day (Meeting of christians worldwide). I was in a CD-Shop where you can listen to samples of CD´s.
A guy from Brasil (he weared a brazilian flag) listened to a sample of a CD and began to headbang and playing air-guitar. I never saw something like that in a shop :D A european like I am would never do such a thing.

Its the fucking spirit!!

Im just 15 years old and im really skinny and i still like to kill myself to get to the firsts places! and the worst thing is that i can do it hehe.
I dont think that this si because we only see them once a years because with more comon national bands it happens!.
Then there is the "pogo" stuff, where people are killing each other, usually its located in the 5th or 6th row, its preatty fan there, everyone jumping, playing ping pong with each other...ect

usually after a big gig i end dehydrated but i recover fast

Here in Spain we ara much this way. A friend of mine had his leg broken in the first rows of a Rammstein gig. People throw him to the floor, and then pissed him. And if in Greece, is the same way, I supose the same will happen in Italy (i've been several times there, and I believe they will also be so crazy). So just the non-Mediterranean europeans are "boring". But, like other europeans, we do drink beeeeeerr
:headbang: Keep eatin metal & shittin chains :headbang:

in the middle of this madness in gigs we are still good metal brothers... if someone is feeling like shit we help him, the same if girls are trapped in the middle of the crowd. If someone falls down you pick him up...ect

Here in France, it depends of the towns, but often we've a lot of jumping, singing, headbanging and stage-diving people too..
I know a lot of guys who even fight sometimes for being in the front hehe...
From those i know, they are completely wet during the shows..
I remember especially this Strato show in Lyon last year...It was really awesome!! I had never seen all the people singing so loud and during all the show!

I go to Spain sometimes too for seeing some gigs, as i live not so far from there, and the people are nice in general. :)

That's rigth. We do the pogo in Hungary too, but if someone needs help, we go for him/her.

Fights & Moshing

Post by Dragon77 » Thu Aug 18, 2005 12:23 am

Well, speaking as one of the few from the States, I really HATE moshing, except in "designated" areas. I got my nose broken at a WASP show last year (courtesy of a stupid drunk), but when I saw WASP this year (at a different House Of Blues this time), the show and the crowd were great!

I don't know how big the Key Club (or the Galaxy) are, but I expect things will be (hopefully) a bit more restrained at the shows.

When I go to a show, I want to see & hear the BAND, not hassle with idiots

Hammerfall is also playing here next week, unfortunately I didn't find this out until this week, and can't make the show on such short notice :(

I just don't see Stratovarius as the sort of band that would generate and club crowd problems (I think there are probably always going to be problems with/at the bigger open air shows).
