The setlist

I started new topic because I want to "hear" your and perhaps bandmembers opinions also...
Why Strato plays only a few new songs on setlist?? :? Before they played on gigs many new songs from the new albums... example infinite tour in Finland, they played WHOLE album! I`m really wondering...
Strato is Dead! Long live Strato

well, i think because this is a "reunion" tour and they wish to give the fans their favorite songs, that and not many people have heard the new album, which would account as to why they will play it safe

Yeah, it seems they are playing it safe, just like on the Elements 1 tour - but such a shame they are leaving out Zenith!! What an incredibly powerful song... if more ppl heard that they would surely buy the album. It's gotta have more selling power than Land of Ice and Snow. A lovely ballad - but.. it's a ballad.

Of course they have to play the single Maniac Dance, and United is a must. I would have gone for Fight or maybe Leave the Tribe as a third song, if there is only space for three.

There was a poll here a while back for fans to vote for their fave songs.

And the fave was Black Diamond, and the same ones they play every tour - Hunting, Kiss of Judas, Father Time, Against the Wind (I think).

I would personally prefer more songs from the new album, I'd take off Land of Ice and Snow (there are already lots of ballads), and add either of the two slow heavies (Zenith or Leave the Tribe) as they both are fucking great IMO, and would replace Soul of a Vagabond which they have missed out this time (I love it, but it has got played a lot).

I'd add a few other recent ones that have never been played... Know the Difference, for one.

I'd also leave out either of Destiny or Visions and add Infinity, but that would not be a popular choice I guess.

Sadly, I think that Strato have so many albums that 50% of the setlist is set in concrete and there is not much time left for the new songs of the album they are promoting. And a lot of older fans have decided that Destiny and Visions are the best albums, and nothing Strato writes can budge them.

Regardless, I will still be looking forward to seeing them and banging my head to Maniac Dance! :D Also great to see that Coming Home is in the setlist, I have never heard that played live before.

However, they are playing all the songs that the fans voted for... so... *shrug* majority rules.
The future is bright, and there's hope in the air,
Together we're singing, together we care.
