Shakra is a really good band with catchy songs! Great musicians too!

Too bad that their guitar player (not the one who appears on the pics above, I mean the blond one) is a hell of asshole. He acted like a huge star. One of my friend was meant to make an interview with Stratovarius, he arrived late and when the guitar player saw him trying to get backstage, he asked for explains and told him "i don't give a shit who you are. You have no pass, You don't get in". Since when musicians act like that (specially when the band is only the support act, and when the guy is a journalist ) ?
No really, even though Shakra plays great music and the other guys seems really nice, we were all really disapointed by the attitude of this guitar player.
When Patricia and I, we saw him during the afternoon we said "hi" to him (quite loud), but he didn't say anything, not even smile, not even looked at us.

I confirm what Cliff said above about this blonde guitar player! Too sad and disappointing to see that a musician can react like this! What a shame! :?
When money corrups...

I don't think it has anything to do with money. Stupidity is in people's bone. Of course money can drive stupid people even more stupid, but smart people never change. And think of it, how many albums has Shakra sold so far ? Probably not the 1% of what Stratovarius sold with their last album. Still, this guitar player acted like he is THE musician of the tour !
Okay, perhaps the guy had a bad day or something, but it's still not a reason to act like he did. He should be grateful and nice to the potential new fans, not treat them like shit. Too bad that I wasn't there when it happened, because he would probably not have acted the way he did!
(and no, I don't get pissed anytime someone act like a jerk with fans. never ;))

But our friend said the guy talked him about money, so that's why i said that...

Yes he did! Our friend said to me that the guy said him: "if everybody did like this, they would lose some money"...not professional at all i think.. :?
When an interview is planned with some other bands, he has to say absolutely nothing!! As far as i know he's not the tour manager and not the lead band neither right? :?

I'm really surprised! I have seen the band anytime and I ever had a very good memory of them and the gigs! They were very sympathic everytime and joined to play theiry sound. Well I'm looking for a statement of the blond guitar player but I cannot guarantee. Or maybe I can talk to him next wednesday...

just thinking : when ONE journalist get backstage and doesn't pay for a gig, the band lose money. But what about journalist, writing good reviews of gig or album, and because of that people get interested in their music and they buy album or feel like going to the show again ? I think the journalist did a really good thing in mentioning the attitude of this musician in his gig review!

Perhaps, like Nepi suggested, the best would be to ask for explains from him. Maybe he had a bad day indeed. Still, from what I remember, he looked really happy during the gig. Or maybe the reason was because he told himself "cool! many fans came tonight. and they seem to enjoy our music. Cash is coming!" ...
