Thanks a lot for coming to Hong Kong, my Stratovarius!!!

Dear great Stratovarius:

I just saw Stratovarius great show in Hong Kong tonight.

I understand it was shit stage and not fuckin crowded in Hong Kong. I believe that the promotion was not good enough this time. But fortunately I can attended this show.

the first song was "Hunting High & Low" that we always play this song in our bandroom also. (Of course we cannot sing 50% as good as Mr Timo) I was standing on the chair at left hand side. It's a wonderful night that I can watch a great show in Hong Kong. Since it's not easy to have chance for attend Stratovarius show for match the time when I was working in other countries. I have waited for this show for a long time.

I love Stratovarius, music, spirit, image...

actually I would like to say "Thank you for coming to Hong Kong" and hope can tell Stratovarius that "We really hope to see you again."

i just arrived the place i live. pictures are in my camera and i will upload them when i get home. now i just wanna say THANKS A LOT to strato guys, and all of you who make tonight the most wonderful night in my life.

i got some problems with getting the setlist right...my memory just doesn't work. one thing i'm sure is they played 15 songs and 2 solo, and all of them are amazing. i know which songs they played, but i need some time to get the order right.

so now i'll just post some pictures that present the funnest moment tonight. the thing that impressed mr. Jens most...hahahaha i hope you remember it, Jens!




i tried to take a pic of that 'lucky cat' which appeared on the stage, but i failed...my hands shaked too much...but i will post it tomorrow anyway

Yea I am so glad to see stratovarius in HK!
i agree that the promotion of the show is fxxking suck that virtually there are no commericals, posters or evern leaflets like Oasis's which i can pick it up from music store
I arrived the venue around 6:00 and i discovered that there are not much people in line
Although the venue is not full, the atmophere is really really good that I shake my whole body from the start to the end and I can't believe that I can watch the show that close! I am so excited!!
It's is a really good show and I can't forget everything about it!

(don't tell me you are the guy who were reading Finnish grammar all the time...or are you the one who were practising guitar there? )

when i arrive there, i see a man with a guitar and there are about 10-15 people between the guy and me
i think finnish is really a hard stuff therefore I don't think i will learn it in coming future
there is a japanese lady sitting behind me, i think she is the stratovarius hardcore fans because when she knew that stratovarius tees are available in the counter then she bought and changed it in a flash

You had Distant Skies on the setlist? Damn I feel envy to you, as they didn´t seem to play it in European tour at all (about Pratteln shows I have no clue, but think they had there a bit different setlist...). That´s so great song for being performed live.

Distant Skies, Coming Home, Twilight Symphony... why didn't they play them in Germany? Yes, I know, cuz Hammerfall was the "major" headliner. I hope next time Stratovarius are headlining alone again.

there is a japanese lady sitting behind me, i think she is the stratovarius hardcore fans because when she knew that stratovarius tees are available in the counter then she bought and changed it in a flash

me and syren came together...yeah it was quite interesting when we got to the seats before the concert started, when we found all ppl seating around us were talking japanese...makes us wonder if these guys flew from japan for this live, if yes they must be really hardcore fans~
and the T shirt~ when we were in the queue, we also saw a tall blonde western guy coming into the hall dressed with DreamTheatre tee and next time we saw him, he was in strato tee. lol
we also saw parents taking their teenage kids here, it's really cool.
well, the night truly rocked! thanks to stratovarius and the organizer. looking forward to your 2nd visit~

After reading the posts of fellow Stratofans from here in HK, I found it hard to resist signing up and posting my thoughts about the show last night in Hong Kong. Stratovarius was indeed awesome! Although yes, the crowd was small and the venue was a bit crap, we were all hyped nonetheless. Even though it was seating, everyone jumped up front the second the lights went off. Jorg fired drumsticks into the crowd. First Stratovarius show ever and I can say it was one of the best shows I've been to already - it has proven that Hong Kong is not all about the cheesy Cantopop. My ears are ringing from the speakers (which I found was slightly too distorted - perhaps the venue wasn't the best) but it's all good.

And thank you, Syren, for sharing the pictures! They were just what I have been looking for. All in all, awesome show! Hope to see them again here in HK!

Mmm, but they did played Distant Skies here in Chile in 2000.
Maybe he forgot it. Too many gigs, it's impossible to remember everything
Or maybe he meant thet didn't play it last year, that must be!

To Stratovarius - I just wanna say: Thank you very much for coming to Hong Kong. You guys were amazing. We had a great time and the show was awesome.

I agree with mpalex. The promotion was not very good this time. People rarely see posters/commercials about the gig in the city.

We hope to see you guys again in Hong Kong.

I was there too and i was standing in the front during the concert (Luckily i bought the V.I.P ticket)

As other HK Stratovarius supporters mentioned,
the stage and the promotion are really awful
The venue is not full
However when i watched the video of Starto's europe tour, there's 5-10 thousands of ppl in some tour.

I felt i'm lucky tht i can stand so close with the Strato Guys althoguh there's only a hundrad attendence

The atmosphere was really great.Everyone was shaking their body all the time and followed with Timo.
Timo K was really nice (I really confuse wht did he drink during the break, seems like a cup of Milk-Tea )
He say hello to us with chinese words before they started the show.
It's really a great show, and the time passed very fast

For me, i hv waiting for this concert for nearly 3 yrs. YES, 3yrs!!
In fact this concert should be original held in 2003 , but finally it was cancelled becoz of the SARS
So , i felt so touching when i got tht Strato is going to held a concert in HK and finally it was confirmed.

However i dun hv D. Camera so i can't take any pics during the LIVE, but i hv picked a stick from Jorg Michael!!

Finally , just want to say again to Stratovarius "Thank you for coming to Hong Kong"!!"We really hope to see you again."
