TOLKKI FORUM: 1st Anniversary

This forum has been open for about a year&although MySpace has scalped off most of the regular posters TTs forum is still a very peaceful&nice forum to go to and express yourself!
After 2 years of people whining about opening it up, everyone got their wish. TTs forum went full steam ahead, very strong for about 6 months, then POOF! It seemed for lots of folks the magic was gone. Then, a couple months went by&MySpace(which has been available over 2 years)was touted. After that, only a few of us are posting there&we will continue to keep TolkkiForum afloat until everyone else comes back.

Yeah, its just a forum, but its still a great place to post if anyone is interested.

It has been a good year forum-wise&hopefully, it can plod on to continue because after all the huffing&puffing etc. to get it back, it would be a shame to let it go again.

Yeah, it's a nice place and a very serious one. I think this is why it's just not that visited now. I for example wouldn't start spamming around there just to spam. If I wanted to post something that I found to be really important, I would, but otherwise I am just reading some comments. I don't have time to concentrate on too much forums now other than the 2 sites I am moderating (the official and the Hungarian DotA sites). I'm also working on a forum with a friend of mine and we will be administrating it, so.. I just hope I will have time to browse both the Stratovarius and the Tolkki forum one day.

I think the past month or so Tolkki's forum has loosened up a bit. After all, its not that many who go there, so its not as strictly non-Spam as it used to be. But, it is accepted that TolkkiForum will not become a SpamBoardFest, so most of us are still restrained about our posts, and will remain so.

I think the forum will be more active later, but it also depends on what TT would do with it. As BEG has said in many places, ppl follow TT anywhere where he goes, just an example if he would forget his MySpace and opens again something new, people would follow him to there and so on. But it´s good on Tolkki-forum as long as there are at least the few regular posters there discussing things. But IMO, the situation looks already brighter there than it was few months ago.

Yeah When I came back after a 3-month absence I was so puzzled. When I got forced off the net by tech problems, TTs forum was very active! It was just weird, I guess, to come back to an almost empty forum. But, new members are a-coming&hopefully the older members will drop by again.

Thanks! I must confess, I totally forgot about that forum. Forgot I even registered. I was surprised when it logged me in autumatically. I had to search on my posts to remember what I said. Anyway, I'll be sure to visit a bit more regularly now. Seems like a very friendly forum.

Yeah, AMBR I thought I remembered you had posted at TTs in the past! Anyway, welcome back! I know you are a very busy person, but don't be a stranger and I hope you will enjoy time posting there!
