Is the compass the new symbol of Stratovarius?The old one was lis de fleur,right.

Yes it it. There was some discussion about it in some other topic. The band wanted to change it beacuse the lily was originally chosen by Timo Tolkki.

BTW: The new Strato symbol (on the Stratologo) reminds me the Stargate SG1 symbol!
Also reminds me a star!

It reminds me of a star too. I don't see it as a compass at all. Furthermore, this new album is called Polaris. Polaris is commonly known as the Northern Star or Pole Star, is the brightest star in the constellation Ursa Minor according to Wikipedia.
There are many references to this northern star in the Stratovarius lyrics. In Forever it says: ''I'm the star in the northern sky'' also in Winter Skies: Northern Star you call me home''.
This is my interpretation of it

Yes I know, I have a book that explain the symbolism behind the Northern Star, is very nice!

Here in Brazil I can't see Polaris, but we have the Southern Cross (Cruzeiro do Sul) that is on Visions cover
