Matias is a very nice guitarrist, but to play some "old Strato songs" I think he needs to practice more!

+1. Of course he is an excellent guitarist, but I don't like him changing too much those well-known Stratovarius guitar solos. I just like them the way they are.

I wrote a huge rambling post about this topic in another thread, so if you really can be bothered (I can't) to find it cool but basically the jist of it was, my opinion is that he should play the solos similar to how the original ones were, but still show his own influences and skills. And I think he's doing that admirably.

There are some solos that MAtias fits a lot, but black diamond, visions and others...I really don't like his "version" and I think he should improve.

I think his solos are very very good, but i prefer the versions of tolkki, Matias improvises very well!.. he has so much creativity, but there are solos (not only from Stratovarius songs) that are Epic!.. and if you change them.... =(
My grandmother don't let me see Chabelo.

I decided to do this before Finnish Summer Festivals start;
Matias, enjoy your performance confronting Finnish crowd.
The way I put it; without You we wouldn't have the possibility to enjoy Stratovarius live this summer. So I hope you feel most wellcomed!!!

Indeed! Do them your style Matias! If they wanted to stay completly the same and worship the Tolkki day they would've just hierd one of those million Tolkki wannabes that are running around out there.
