What time does the show on 9/25 start?

I called the Pyramid Club to confirm if Stratovarius was actually playing there (since a previous employee told me the show got canceled) and he said "yes."
I asked him what time the show starts and he said "I don't know. Whenever the band feels like starting."
I'm like "uh... ok dude."
enterthevault.com's tickets say "show begins: TBD"
I asked him if he knew anything about early entry and a meet and greet and he said "no."
Does anyone here know what time the show starts? I'm bringing some friends from different towns and we need to plan what time we're going to meet and show up, especially if we get the VIP tickets.
Thanks.

Ugh, looks like this night's gonna be a nightmare, especially with the VIP tickets. Just look at the website of the Pyramid Club, "the fun never stop" and the horrible design...
Not looking forward to how this goes. I'm still going because it's money well spent and it's Stratovarius, but this club doesn't seem to know how to run shit very well.
Also, my tickets from Ticketmaster say 7 PM.

Re: What time does the show on 9/25 start?
The guy on the phone at Pyramid Club told me it's a bar that holds 400 people.
I asked if I could buy tickets directly from them and he said "well, we don't sell tickets. On nights when there is a band we just charge a little admission at the door."
So... not that I don't want to support Stratovarius or anything, but I wonder if people can just "show up" to this concert?

What the hell? Wow. I don't get this place... I mean, I guess it's more of a sports bar than an actual concert venue, so there's that, but still.

Re: What time does the show on 9/25 start?
Seriously now.
Maybe if you call them you'll get more info than I did. The last guy I talked to was kinda rude.
I mean, I don't mind seeing Stratovarius in a bar or anything, but I'd at least like to know what time to show up... and if I get to meet them if I buy VIP tickets... or if I even need to buy tickets at all in order to get in
I mean if it's just a bar, why not just show up in the afternoon and stay for the concert? Are they gonna kick people out who don't have tickets before the show starts?
The show's in 4 days. I need to plan what we're going to do, you know?

Me and my buddy are kind of concerned also at how this is going to be handled.Judging from the craptacular design of the pyramid clubs website it looks kind of like a dive sports bar NOT a concert venue. Also I dont mind spending the money on the tickets but if the bar only holds 400 people or whatever whats stopping people from being at the bar and staying for the show for free? Or worse yet if they were at capacity with non ticketholders and we show up with tickets are they going to try and not let us in?

Re: What time does the show on 9/25 start?
Well, I'm just going to buy regular tix (even tho it sounds like we won't even need them to get in). I'd absolutely love to meet Stratovarius but I have no idea wtf is going on and none of the 4 people I've spoken with at the Pyramid Club knows anything either (they didn't even know there were tickets, much less VIP tickets) and I don't feel comfortable buying $65 tickets for me and my friends when I can't get a straight answer about what's going on.
Oh well. I'm sure it will still be an awesome show. Stratovarius rocked when I saw them in Chicago.

Re: What time does the show on 9/25 start?
I paid a total of $80 for my VIP ticket and I'm not going to miss it because this shitty club can't even keep info on their own events. My Friday night is NOT going to be fucked with.

These too are some of my concerns. Drivingi 3 hours with my nine year old son. who is very excited, he likes to listen to Polaris while playing Halo. I don't reaaly want to pay the ticketbastard fees. I'll show up a little early to find out the situation. I'm sure they wouldn't turn away anyone willing to pay cash. I think we'll try to meet them after the show. So if you see my nine year old son stop up and say hi. See ya there!

Re: What time does the show on 9/25 start?
If you see a guy with long brown hair accompanied by two fairly 'large' friends, that's me. If I see a guy with a nine year-old child I'll say hello from the Strato board.

Re: What time does the show on 9/25 start?
So, I called up this useless venue, and got a sort of answer.
The guy said that people without tickets won't be allowed to enter the area where the band is playing. I suggest getting tickets (if anything, to support Stratovarius and Pagans Mind).
Thought I would update those confused. It sounded like they would be selling tickets there too, but don't take my word for it.

well i'm definitely not picking up my tickets "will call" at the venue just in case they don't even have the ability to print tickets there.
See you guys there (even tho we won't know who each other is
)!

So you need bodyguards or are we talking girls with "large" friends. Cant wait to see ya. My name is Brian (43) and my son is Damien(9). I'll probably be wearing an Iced Earth shirt.Empathica1928 wrote:If you see a guy with long brown hair accompanied by two fairly 'large' friends, that's me. Haha, I mean I'm a guy with long hair; my two friends, they're kind of on the chubby side. One of them's Asian, another's just a fat white guy. I'll say hi though, definitely!raiderdeath wrote:So you need bodyguards or are we talking girls with "large" friends. Cant wait to see ya. My name is Brian (43) and my son is Damien(9). Re: What time does the show on 9/25 start?
That was honestly THE BEST concert experience of my life. No bullshit.
When I walked in and met Timo, he said, "This club has been very... interesting, let's put it that way."
I certainly knew what he meant by that. The place sucked and the staff was full of assholes, but being right up next to the stage for an amazing show was more than worth it.
First one in for the VIP, got to meet and talk to them, I was as far up to the stage as you could possibly get, and I even caught Jorg's drumstick!! I probably gushed like a stupid fanboy when I met the guys but I couldn't help it, I've been dying to see these guys for years, nevermind meet them! They were so laid back and fun, and put on one of the most enjoyable concerts I've ever seen. The guitar/bass solos were out of this world.
An absolutely incredible night. I can't thank Stratovarius enough.

Re: What time does the show on 9/25 start?
Was the meet and greet before or after the show? How long did you get to spend with them?
I was recording Matias' guitar solo on my phone but i ran out of memory halfway through. Did anyone get the whole thing?
Also, what kind of guitar was Matias playing?
I agree, the show was great!! Thanks, Stratovarius!!
edit - btw, who yelled out "Fuck Timo Tolkki!" near the end of the show? Someone in the back of the audience. That was pretty lame

Re: What time does the show on 9/25 start?
I didn't hear the Timo Tolkki thing, but that does sound really rude.
The meet and greet was before the show, about 30 minutes before the doors opened for the public. It was awesome, they were all really cool and fun to talk with. There were only a couple people there for the meet-and-greet besides me and my friends, so it was really an intimate setting, very interesting. I forgot to set my camera's settings on my phone so my picture with them turned out kind of bad (and Jens moved a bit too soon and got cut out, haha), but it's good enough for me, especially since the photos I got were really good for a phone.

I wanted to ask the guys about Tolkki, but it felt so surreal that it didn't even cross my mind. When I dropped a hint about hoping for a live DVD in the near future, Matias just gave this wink like "maybe!" haha. I did mention Cain's Offering to TK though, and he started half-singing one of the songs, that was cool.
Great time overall, I wanted to talk to them more but didn't really want to take up all their time and seem like more of a blabbering fool.
Here are just a few pics I took...

^ Omg, what a crappy stage! That's seriously a joke, I can't believe they were booked for that place
Now I understand what you guys were talking about earlier in the thread...I guess better to see them on some stage than no stage

Damn that's a small stage indeed. You got so damn close to the stage, heh. I guess that's the good thing of living in a place where your favorite band is not well known...
It's too bad we don't get meet and greet here...

Re: What time does the show on 9/25 start?
Yea the stage was shitty, when Timo went off stage during an instrumental, he'd just be on the side by the stairs taking pictures with people who would come up and bug him.
But that's nothing compared to the openers - there wasn't even a stage for them. They just played on the floor with us surrounding them.
