Another one posted at TK´s forum...

Iron Maiden´s The Trooper in this one:

Did I miss some information or is there some kind of acoustic tour going on in Finland? Maybe just a vocal preparation for the European tour, TK sound really good :wink:

Yep he sounds really good indeed. But I guess it is because he's singing lower than he does in Strato. I love the acoustic versions of HHAL and Black Diamond from the first post. I think TK would sound much better if Strato would play the songs in this lower key during their European Tour.

Jani seems like a really cool guy, and its got to be fun for Timo to work with him, and on the same coin, Jani probably worshiped these guys similar to any of us on this forum back in 1997 when Sonata started to do power metal, and now he's working side by side with the voice of Stratovarius

So what? So you hate Stratovarius too? They also still play the song live.

ahh... exe knight.
Didn't you say you were going to leave during the last Tolkki shitstorm?
No matter, it had been getting boring here without the irrational Stratovarius Tolkki war.

Wants! ;_;

Especially if they really are smart enough NOT to play songs from their weak studio album, as it has seemed this far! >: D

You mean Cain's Offering's 'Gather The Faithfull'? I loved that album. Though I doubt TK can sing those songs live. :?

I would love to hear couple of songs from that record...But it´s Jani who doesn´t want to do a tour (not even a short one) with Cain´s Offering :roll: At least not these times...That´s what Timo told me at Strato´s show in Bratislava...Pitty

A minor bump to this thread just to ask has anybody actually seen them? I did during my short absence from this board.

I had a hard time with my alarm clock radio once. I had accidentally adjusted the clock time, not the alarm time. When I woke up an hour later I should have, I happened to hear from the radio that Kotipelto/Liimatainen were in town that evening. Well, I called a couple of friends and only one was able to come with me. ^^ Bought the tickets and entered the club, saw them and it was damn awesome! They were funny and they truly performed great, and the audience was great! We decided not to bother those guys though, because they were busy with their groupie-like friends. Especially Kotipelto. :)

We went to another place that night and thought we might see them there. Liimatainen was there, but no signs of Timo.

It was a splendid evening. I was grateful I woke up an hour later than I should have. :D Otherwise I wouldn't have had any idea they were in town...

Bit of a letdown was the club promoting Kotipelto/Liimatainen as 'Timo Kotipelto Duo' or something like that. The policy behind that name tells so much of Jari being a nobody and Kotipelto being a familiar TV face and a singer of some odd band. Or maybe Jari and Timo just came up with it themselves. Either way it's just a stupid name. :D Before the gig we were just wondering if they really had two Timo Kotipeltos pefrorming for us. :roll:

Maybe Kotipelto is a more recognisable surname then Janis surname. Honestly, I can't spell it and I always mix it up with Jani Kainulainen.
