Festival in Ukraine June 5

Post by JensJohansson » Mon May 17, 2010 6:03 pm

I suppose the rumors are out, and I can confirm that our booking agency is talking about this date with the Ukrainian promoter Apriori since some time back. We are deeply committed to playing there on June 5. From our side, we have airline tickets reserved, and crew on hold. I have no reason to believe they won't. Apriori is a completely different promoter than the one who invited us last time. So far they seem very professional, fast, and responsive, and have fulfilled all our requests. If they come thru all the way to the end, then we will come.

However, and especially in light of our last attempt to play there, as you can see from our gig schedule, we can't yet confirm this date officially until we are 100% sure that we will actually be able to play.

Sorry to not be able to confirm yet, but we should be able to, within a week or two. I am here just speaking as myself, and not officially for Stratovarius. Anyone who reads this of course has my permission to translate this information to Ukrainian and tell anyone you wish, what I have written.

Cheers and \m/

You are lucky that Igor is at work at the steel mill. If he heard you say that, he would smash your neck :x
Besides, Akalena Danylenko puts more makeup on her face than Timo Tolkki puts sour cream on his baked potatoes  :puke:

And what is the status of this show? Still non-confirmed officially?

Now (today and tomorrow) it's deadline time to take some tickets on train from Moscow to Ukraine. I think it must be impossible if we will be wait more time. And me and my friends from Russia will not see this concert.

PS: Ukraine have only one true promotion company - Global Promotion. They also have a big metal fest in latest summer or september - "Global East". Maybe Stratovarius have a time and want to play at this festival?

I suppose it's little bit late to invite Stratovarius to this fest as there are 3 power-meal bands booked for this festival already. Maybe for Global East-2011?

Hey? To late? I want it now! :) And I'm ready for it. It's not to late.
"Masters of Rock" have more power metal bands for one fest and it's not hard for fans :) and for monetary gain (maybe).
Now "Global East" have only Hammerfall & Manowar for me at three days fest. But I'm also ready to go on this fest if they have Stratovarius only.

Very sad about 5th june concert... Another "fake" (imho) promotion company... The show still not confirmed officially at this hour. Seems like "Pro Rock Fest" at last summer, when my quest on the second day with Strato show was empty.

Now I wait any news and ready to run first of all to take tickets on the train.
I hope that promotion company will not appear the next doubtful persons and will be decent people and Stratovarius show will take place. I will be glad to see not only Stratovarius, but also ukrainian band SUNRISE also (sometimes they sounds like Strato :)).
And least I would like that again there was no incident to cancellation, like it was earlier. It was very hard to fans (who came from all CIS countries), and for band it was more harder - they have been left in one by one with problems and without money - and it was shameful for promoters.
Keep the flame and burning!!!

Just heard from Jörg (in the van to the gig) that this Ukraine gig next week will not happen.

Don't go buying no train tickets thinking we will play!

One day we will come there.. not too much more to say really.

Sorry and greets from Taipei!

I tend to agree. Apriori agency exists since 2007, but it's their first rock festival, so no wonder things went wrong (what's the reason for the cancellation, by the way?). It's just sad it has to happen to you twice already. Go with Global Promotion next time. Last year's Global East festival went flawlessly, just as I thought it would. Maybe you could even come to Global East 2010 this year, there's still time to arrange things. I'll be there and now I'm really holding my breath! :)

Would have been good. And bump for what grisha say. Sunrise sometimes very similiar to Stratovarius in sound and singing, very nice band. On website i think most of them said Strato is one of favorite band hehe

That was pretty damn-bad. But, but, I think it is good for him to puke up all those horrible Zuela-cakes he eats all day.
But OK i will stop the provokations. My best to number 2.
