Unfortunatelly, I don't have a vynil player... lol

But the demos songs are so fucking good too!

I'll try to master the vynil to listen to the 2 songs... ^^

There you can read a very interesting interview with Jens Johansson about Elysium and more; that for those who speak Spanish

For those who doesn't, among other things, Jens mentions that Infernal Maze was originally part of the song Elysium, but Matias took it away from it and turned it into a different song.

He also says that Event Horizon was gonna be the bonus track for Japan, but he convinced the guys so it could make it into the regular release.

Apparently there were going to be more songs in Elysium but due to the tour with Helloween starting so soon, they had to make the album shorter.

There was another song from Jens written but Koti didn't like it much and wasn't recorded...

Hey dude, many thanks for finding that interview. It is amazing. People read it with a translator if you can't read spanish cause it is really interesting.

Anyway there are some mistakes maybe? For example the interview says that Jens likes a lot to play Event Horizon live? Did they play Event Horizon live¿?


Regarding Last Shore and Hallowed I like more and more now these songs. A lot more than the first listenings.

Interesting. First I assumed it's going to be similar to Event Horizon, but the vocal melody and lyrics turn it into something else... and I'm not quite sure what.
Matias' solo is wonderful again, TK seems a bit weak this time, or is it just me?

At the risk of repeating myself, to me it seems Lauri has been in a kind of indigestive mood while writing the songs for Elysium...

In this overview, basically Jörg is talking about the main differences they have know while composing and the direction of the music. He says it is more prog because of Matias and that they have a lot of fresh ideas and that with Timo Tolkki the compositions were just about his feelings and the way he expressed that in music, and now everybody compose together. He says Polaris was somekind of "let's see if we can" and that the album was plenty of good ideas and Elysium the album where they know are completely capable to make good music again. He says too that they have a lot of new energy and are really happy again.

About the disease, he says what we all know, that he is feeling completely ok and that in March-April he will have some new therapy and it will be ok. No problem about it.

About Tolkki, he says that they don't have aky kind of relationship with him.

No, no. It's not the original one. The cover looks like the "Polaris Star" inside a "spaceship", with person walking inside the station.

^ Sure, it's called Hollowed on mine, haven't seen any others till now but I guess they're all the same. Tbh I don't really know where the "Hallowed" title comes from

Hello to all the stratovarius band and fans,i am new at this forum...well,i'm from Spain and i started listening to strat months ago in youtube,and i love this band,really awesome songs(voice,sound,solos),who ll tell that internet will help in some cases to gain a new supporter instead of download music lol,i love the music of this band,reason to go to his own website(thing that i have never done with any other bands),well the issue it's that i asked to my girlfriend to give me as a(late) christmass present this new album,Elysium and i have some songs that i can't see in the normal album(like event horizon),but i don't have civilization and new horizon as an example in my digipack and my single albums.

I am starting to buy strat CDs one by one asking for them in FNAC(a shop)

If i new that strat came here 2 weeks ago,i ll have gone to madrid or barcelona to see them,holy shit.

the digipack album it's really hard to see xD,well,i liked the new album,maybe a bit less than the older ones,but it's really good.

Could someone tell me how to get those songs i don't have in my digipack album(those japanesse versions that weren't included too)?

Are the songs of my 2 CDs demo versions or,just one of them?because looking at the name of the songs of normal elysium,i can't find those ones in my own pack.I don't know if i really have the album or just a demo album lol.
