I recall those were also good performances. On the main issue, i think it's a fucking scandal that a band of this caliber STILL don't have one single LIVE DVD

I would love to see the show they filmed in Sao Paolo in 2005. And of course a show with Matias.

yeah and just 2 live albums.

I just ordered the Polaris album with the live CD and while I was at it I also ordered a version of Infinite Visions DVD that includes a CD called Official Bootleg. Does anyone have any more info on this CD, where it was recorded, what the quality is like etc.?

I recently stumbled across this channel. I'm not sure if its the official Strato youtube channel (I thought this was it??)

But in any case, I found a lot of footage I had never seen before...whole concerts even. Check it out!

I'm sure in the near future they will plan a new DVD, as its been a while since Infinite Visions. But maybe after the release of the next album they are making. Hopefully it will be the newer performances with Matias of old songs and new ones. (Like the recent new Polaris live CD)

Changing the subject slightly, I was really impressed with the live version of Phoenix from 'Polaris - Live'

especially the keyboards in the heavier section of the song.

Maybe the next time Stratovarius tours in Finland, they could film a show at Club teatria in Oulu, just like Sentenced, Amorphis and Sonata Arctica did? Sonata was going to film in Milan at first, until they realized that filming in Finland would me much more cost effective. Sentenced's and Amorphis' DVDs both look and sound amazing, Sonata's hasn't been released yet. It seems like a good idea to me, what do you think?

Oh, and I also remembered that besides the Tavastia 1999 and Provinssirock 1999 cocerts YLE also has in their archives Tuska 2003 and RMJ 2004, plus a few TV appearances in the finnish top 40 chart show "Lista" and other shows. I think those alone would be enough for a compilation that could be called for example "The YLE Archives", kind of like some british bands have released collections of footage from the BBC archives. Great idea for bonus materials or even a stadnd alone release. What do you think?

I must say, I'm pretty excited for the DVD. I enjoyed Infinite Visions, I thought it had it's funny moments, but it really went flat in some places. I wish there were more DVD's like Sonata Arctica's For the Sake of Revenge. That was good.
