hahaha damn, god knows if i were in the position of getting that gig put together i would, and those speakers blasting music to penguins, consider it DONE!JensJohansson wrote:Another testament to how powerful music can be.Rebel wrote:I can't believe we had a band member come on here and say there is essentially no chance of a reunion (Not that he was somehow opposed, but just that he recognized the situation and knew that Tolkki could NEVER stomach it, among other factors), and we're still arguing like we know better.![]()

There is another issue too, we have now in the band a loose sort of system called "DemoCrazy" where everyone has about the same influence. The disadvantage is that sometimes making decisions can be a bit of a process. The upside is that everyone feels responsible and reasonably happy, and (of course) there is no single personal point of failure for the band. For instance, if one guy would get writer's block there are three other guys willing to pick up the slack. (Rolf so far did not want to try to write any songs) Or if I propose the band throw all financial resources into a five city tour of Antarctica the other guys can stop me in time.
Anyway let's say adrian9 finally does get us the gig at Wembley stadion with satelite transmission hookup to the other side of the Atlantic, world wide 1000000+ attendance etc. Queen of England will be sitting there rattling her jewels. Who could say no to the Queen?! As a concession to me they also have a live link to Antarctica, where giant speakers blast the music out to a crowd of millions and millions of penguins.
I then here for the sake of brevity skate past "what do Matias, Lauri and Jörg have to say about it" onto the argument about what songs we should play live (and record!), which is probably where Timo T would have quit the band again after about five minutes.
But if we ignore that bit, I then imagine the first rehearsal where I would have to teach Timo T a bunch of Matias' guitar stuff. I mean he writes a lot of stuff that also I don't really comprehend, let alone are able to play. So then I go.. how the fuck did it go, this two minutes long unisolo with about 3000000 notes which Matias actually wrote here in the song "Abandon"??
And that's the point where I would quit after five minutes.
