I think you are quite jerk too :)
Maybe you should not tell me how to live my life :)

This guy was supposed to get my guitar in contest. Bah! Who does he think he is. Now he is badmouthing me all over the internet, forgetting that I wrote 95% of stratovarius songs and most of the lyrics. This is very, very bad...

Oh I am soooooo sorry Mr. "ToIkki" and no, i wasnt the winner of that guitar contest. Wouldnt matter anyway since the real winner never got it. And if I am a jerk for telling it like it is, then so be it.

Whats TT's day job? ???

Running errands for the Finnish mafia?

I'm joking. Seriously, he cannot be serious! TT giving up music would be like Rosie O'Donnell giving up p----- pastry! :D

A little amusing how this guy goes out of his way to bash Tolkki just to make sure no one makes the obvious accusation...

I dunno...he seemed pretty serious. Though can anybody really take him seriously now? He works in a factory now, so he says. I feel bad spilling all this shit, but i think the fans deserve to know since he wont make a statement regarding his music career. I respect what hes done and the music hes created. But as far as what he is now...not so much.
Well, I still respect him. People who work in factories make it possible for everyone in the world to have those gadgets we love so much and make life alittle easier. Besides, factory worker or ditch digger or whatever, TT still is a musician, even if its just a hobby now.
Maybe he just got tired of the gossip, hurried lifestyle and all that he has lived for years. The best way to show respect for him is just to let him be, I guess. ???

this was obviously a mistake posting here. I appreciate that hes working to support his family..but that hes just going to give up music because he thinks nobody cares anymore, pretty weak.

If TT thinks nobody cares he is just wrong. But, what can we as fans do about that? ??? Maybe TT has thought it all out and decided that he wants to "retire". He could still give music lessons, performances, and seminars. I do not really think TT will give up music totally.......it's "in his blood".

I'm a bit lazy to read everything, but I read a little of the posts, so I'll say what I think.

You must remember that Timo and RR now have a contract with Napalm Records, and that RR needs to release a new album by this year. So I think he's a bit under pressure havig to work on RR's new album, and he still need a keyboard player, at least a guest one to record. So, thinking in this, I think it's not weird not to see any news from Project Strato, because last year, that contract with Napalm Records was not, so there was not that pressure. But now he need to release an album this year. I think could have something to do whit things as they are.

Against the industrial revolution, so a factory job would be perfect for him.

You mean RR?

Joking.

Seriously, if TT is working at a cheese factory he is doing some hard work. Is he the one who pours those buckets of salt into the vats of molten cheese? ??? Many people have said if a person works in a cheese(or sausage)factory they never would eat those foods again! But, yes, TT is still dear to the heart of vegetarian fans, I guess. :)

Could some forum user from Finland tell us someting more? I mean, maybe somebody has seen TT or have more information?
In the seminars, he was really happy (he seems happy in the videos).... and now we have this? Who knows...

What is clear is that any of his projects seems alive. RR and Project Strato is nothing nowadays.

It's sad if TT ends his musical career like this. I just can't believe it.

I don't really believe it either.
Somebody needs to find out something concrete so no untrue rumors get started.
In any case, I'm sure most fans will still support him no matter what his decision. TT will always have his talent no matter what path in life he chooses!

Reading through all the post above made my week for sure . But seriously guys, don't want to sound disrespectful, but can you see TT working at a cheese factory :?? Come on!

I think this topic is getting off our hands, letting all kind of stupid persons to post whatever they want to. No matter what my opinion about TT are (which I still believe in), to retire just leaving nothing is not an option. We are talking about the man who made Strato what is now!

But if those statements are true, I think of TT as a truly piece of shit now :?. How on Earth can you think of leaving unfinished projects just because YOU think you aren't taken seriously anymore? Sounds too immature to me

  Can't help it, but I laughed a lot. TT in a cheesefactory?  It sounds exactly as an old TT-joke and I think he likes what we are doing here. It is typical Tolkkihumour.
Now he has got his attention and an ad for his coming whatever. I don't think there even is a cheesefactory in Helsinki. Maybe some goatcheesecurdlery out in the country...

I think you're allowing yourself to be manipulated a little too easily by what is most assuredly another stupid publicity trick. Even if this guy isn't another Tolkki troll, I wouldn't be surprised if he was told by TT specifically so he'd spread this garbage around.

I still can't understand how someone would have a personal opportunity to chat with Timo for at least a half an hour, then would turn around and bash him on an internet forum. Doesn't sound plausible to me.

I was saying "If those statements were true". I just don't see this too logical and reasonable

Maybe if we move this thread to the F&C section, there I will know for sure this is crap

A factory that produces the machinery for cutting meat. I assumed deli slicers or something. Not cheese but you guys made me crack up over that.
And i wouldnt be surprised if he was just telling me shit because of his illness. He made a lot of contradictions to what hes told me in the past. Specifically calling Timo and Lauri mean spirited and tricksters months ago and then calling Timo a wonderful sensitive human and Lauri an angel this time.

edit: what really cinched me deciding to post all this was when I told him I am coming to Helsinki in July and asked if he could meet me for lunch and he told me "no, you can't meet me as a non-musician." He was a huge influence on my guitar playing and then he tells me that just because he no longer wants to be a musician he is unwilling to meet a fan.
