I think it is interesting how TTs writing has changed(subject matter)for his songs over the years. And with every major event(happy&tragic) in his life it can be represented by his songs if you know where/how to look.
The last 3 albums seem to focus on his personal, deep religious&philosophical beliefs&feelings. Although there were a couple very personal songs thrown in there which probably reflected his trauma he was going through in his family/personal life(A Million Lightyears Away-which almost made my son cry when he broke up with his girlfriend).
The projected songs for PopKiller seem to be of a happier/optimistic nature, but thats just my opinion.
Songwriting is probably great therapy for TT, to express his innermost thoughts&feelings--so, I am sure he will continue churning out fantastic songs for many years, even after Strato retires!

Same feelings here. Liberty is such a fantastic song... I just love it.God Called In Sick Today wrote:Indeed! I always thought it was some kind of goodbye-song. Even BEFORE knowing Stratovarius' bad news (Jörg and Kotipelto out of the band).STRATOJUHA wrote:
LIBERTY!!!!!
Yes, Liberty would be a good song... but My Black Diamond and Destiny are great choices too.
NP: Stratovarius - Destiny (played for the ocasion)

Re: Last STRATOVARIUS song ?
Slightly contraversial: Maybe Goodybe might be a good song to play as Tolkki's final piece to the Strato fans. Obviously Forever would have to be done though.

I love that song from CVAT, with Tolkki singing in deeper voice pitch! The words are so meaningful--if my son is ever drafted, I am going to give him a copy of the words/lyrics to take with him.Dolfer wrote:
