The album will be released as the world tour kicks off. I'm kinda dispointing the album will have no double bass, im expecting the worse, but at the same time im excited to hear what Timo has done this time. Just wait and we'll see (hear)

@Mafiaboy: You remember well. It was said in a Finnish music magazine that the new album will be released then. Well at least I have some reason to wait for the fall.

Well, cheese seldom kicks some major ass... Unless maybe some roquefort but that's really another ball game. :)
By the way, nice to hear from you, Timo!

im really looking forward to the new album! i think it will be a "chill-out" album! And as we all know, TT makes good songs for relaxing.. this is my opinion. But i hope the next album after the next ( 8) ) will be more powerfull and faster, like "Old-Stratovarius"!! But we will see....

Well, like the dark/prog era (4 first albums) ended, maybe it's time the speed/power/melodic era ends too and the band starts something else. Just my two cents...

Why not some Black Metal ? :D Seriously, I don't really know, only the band knows what they want to play. But if they want to play someting else, they shouldn't worry about the fact that it sounds or not like "old" Stratovarius. As a matter of fact, I personally wish they'd return to a more progressive sound like in Dreamspace especially.

Fourth Dimension still has a lot of progressive elements in it. 030366, Stratovarius, We Hold The Key, TS, maybe Winter and some others.

Agree, in my opinion Fourth Dimension is one or the "weirdest" albums, with u know....'the actual line up'.

But, for me, they con wherever style, I'll be there.

I guess there was nowhere to go after Elements... what, even MORE epic and huge-sounding? Methinks not. The situation of the past couple of years probably wouldn't have allowed it to happen anyway.

I'm sure this will be different and good.

Maybe soon we will have some soundclips to listen to.
TT said it would be alittle different, but he did not elaborate.
I bet the sequel to Forever will be as touching as its predesessor. I am looking forward to that.
Not many songs on this upcoming album---are they long, I wonder?

If you wish, below you can find probably the new design of strato lilly:
http://img227.echo.cx/img227/5127/pict01783sx.jpg
I've found it in Sanctuary Express brochure, no. 1, may 2005. There is also short article about Stratovarius and upcoming album, but there's nothing new for you. There is also this lilly, I've never seen before, so maybe it will be a part of new design, but no sure for that. If you want, check it.
So where does the power come from to see the race to its end?
From within.
