May 21st saw the re-release of the last album "Polaris" including a full 75 minutes live CD recorded during their European Tour 2009. The tracks contained on the live CD are:
01. DESTINY
02. HUNTING HIGH AND LOW
03. SPEED OF LIGHT
04. KISS OF JUDAS
05. DEEP UNKNOWN
06. A MILLION LIGHT YEARS AWAY
07. BACH: AIR SUITE
08. WINTER SKIES
09. PHOENIX
10. SOS
11. FOREVER IS TODAY
12. KING OF NOTHING
13. FATHER TIME
14. HIGHER WE GO
Stratovarius highly acclaimed "Infinite" album will be re-released on June 26th internationally after the band got the rights to the album back in their hands.
In May the band finished their world tour around the Polaris album with great success in China. To their big surprise the Finnish found out that they are called lin Yun in China instead of Stratovarius - there are still a lot of surprises in the Far East to discover it seems. The band want to thank all their old and new fans in China for their tremendeous support.
While touring the world the band wrote already 20 new songs. They will start pre-producing them right now and a brand new studio album will be released
early 2011 through JVC in Asia and edel/ear in the rest of the world. 2011 will see another world tour of Stratovarius.

"Lin Yun" means "above the cloud", so it does show some meaning of "stratosphere".
thank you very much for coming to china, hope to see you on next world tour! :luv1:

Actually, Stratovarius is called "Ling Yun" in mainland China. This is a easy literal translation: "strato-" means 云("Yun" in Chinese pinyin) and "-varius" can be described by 灵("Ling" in Chinese pinyin), so the band's Chinese name is "灵云"。
Stratovarius is also called "凌云" in mainland China, which means the vocals can reach very high notes, like Syren said, "above the clouds".
The Chinese name for Stratovarius used in Taiwan and Hong Kong is "腾云" ("Teng Yun" in Chinese pinyin), but it's almost the same meaning with "凌云".
BTW, look forward to the new album.
And don't forget to tour China again next year, the fans here are waiting for you guys!

Great news!
Come to think of it, has any metal band ever recorded a live DVD in China? If not, Stratovarius should totally be the first one, once you hit your next tour there.

and not to forget the live dvd from the <newalbum> world tour.

I think the best way to do it is
<newalbum>
13 songs
<newEP>
two songs from <Newalbum> 4 unreleased songs
<newalbum>
13 songs + 1 bonus track
<newalbum>
13 songs+1 bonus track
<Single>
Song not featured on <newEP>, last bonus track.

This is what it feels like every time I come here. This is what the strato forum would be if it was in real life instead of on the computer.

Is there any bonus material on the Infinite reissue? I have the limited edition with the It's a Mystery / Why Are We Here? single, but aren't there at least two other Infinite B-sides, "Keep the Flame" and "Neon Light Child"? And maybe "What Can I Say", too.

I guess that after what happened with "Polaris" and "Deep Unknwon", I think that it'd be better for me to wait until the album release. Although I don't think I'm going to be able to wait soo long

Oh yea I really want to hear that one! They didn't play it when I saw them in Mexico City last year. I want to hear this live version of King of Nothing as well.
