If Infernal Maze is somehow a 10 minute song, it'll be Stratovarius' best song ever.

I feel like whereas with Polaris the band leaned too much in a "Happy" direction, both to wipe away the self titled, and try to "Restore to Form", it sounds like the band now has completely realized a youthful identity, and wants to push forward a completely new, darker tone. I LOVE IT LOVE IT LOVE IT LOVE IT.

The first review is in!

(But I don't immediately understand if it's a good or bad one!?)

I wonder what whoever picked the sample segment for "Black Diamond" was smoking... Not that I mind so much tho!

It's not 10 minutes sadly. 5:35. But there is a lot of stuff in there...

I'm still doing battle with that 20 minute monster song, that's why I am up...

I wouldn't mind having another "Beautiful lung dogs" in this record, jens. Not at all. The best from fission. How possible is that? I need hitler's heavily distorted voice, screeching doors and what not :( I like dogs..

Jens, this record has the potential to top the almighty Episode. Especially if we have you do an absolute shred off with Matias.

Don't worry though, I have plenty of time and I will wait eagerly for any dog-themed side projects that use terrier chord progressions :)

OMG  Those samples are fucking great! My expectations for the new album are already so ridiculously high, that I am almost afraid to listen it. That 20 minute song is written by Matias, so it must be a masterpiece!

:) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :)

:spin2: :spin2: :spin2: :spin2: :spin2: :jump: :jump: :jump: :jump: :jump: :jump: :jump:

The first thing I noticed in the samples is that FINALLY TK's VOICE SOUNDS AGAIN LIKE IT SHOULD SOUND. Like always sounded with Strato but improving the low notes. I really, REALLY like the versality in the sections and the timbre of his voice in these ones. In Polaris his voice sounds forced many times.

Then, I noticed too, that this album is gonna have something astonishingly special and surely is gonna be in the top with Episode.

Later, I noticed that I wanted to kill amazon.de for doing this...just 30 seconds samples and my face is something like in second 1: :) in second 29: :x

But at least we have something!

I can feel that Stratovarius feeling in the songs, seriously. I like a lot the chorus in Infernal Maze (I like this one more than Darkest hours, at least for the samples). Wow, what a fantastic piece of art is gonna be this Elyssium.

CAN'T WAIT

:funhi: :funhi: :funhi: :funhi: :funhi: :funhi: :funhi:

PS. that 20 minutes thing I suppose will be Elyssium. dude, that is gonna be really epic.

Oh my! This sounds good.

I somehow think that the chorus of Darkest Hours sounds a bit Nightwish-ish. :P

I can't stand that the sample stopt after 30 seconds. I want it to go on and on and on and on!!!

...wondering...if they'll play some of the new songs from Elysium at the beginning of the tour with Helloween. I will see them in Madrid again and I'd like it! Anyway, maybe that will be too soon (15-01-10) and they will play something later in the tour.

Yeah I think the release of this single is for fans to know a few songs of the new album for the next tour, so we can assume that at least, they will play Darkest Hour and Infernal Maze on the "7 sinners tour"!!!!

But all the bad times are behind

OMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMG that bit of Infernal Maze forced me to have at least half a dozen sedative pills :luv3:

Good live versions, too (at least from what one can judge from the Against the Wind sample).

And I fully appreciate the writing credits request

Edit: I can't stop playing them over and over again :( How often can one listen to the same 1,5 minutes without getting serious issues, I wonder?
