Hi there friends!!

I'm a huge stratovarius fan and i have a question for all stratofans (i think specially drummers)...

"Monster" - Russia: Why do you need these octobans? You almost not use them in your playing.
Jörg: That´s right, Octobans have more an sound-effect to offer. I would be very bored using them in every song. Mainly I used them perfoming live, drums solo or endings of songs. On top of that, I think it looks extremely cool having them on the side. I think I never really used them in the studio, just for one overdub, I can´t remember the song though. I think it is more a live thing anyway!

My question is, does anybody know or have a clue about which song this is?

I think he used them on Blind, on Polaris. However, before that, I think he used them very briefly on the Episode album somewhere, possibly Father Time.

good question lalo, mmm the first song in my head is the live version of "destiny"... mmmm i dont remember right now other song (in studio), but i'll think about this the next hours

The long thin drums that Jorg has on the side of his drumkit. They make a quite high pitched sound.

Agree with NeonVomit, I think I might have heard it somewhere in Episode; but the recent memory I have listening to them was in "Blind", and in most live shows

Yeah? In Blind? I can't notice. I think i hear them at the end of emmancipation suite 1 but i'm not completely sure.

And yeah in destiny (live) he does it.

Well, ask Mike Portnoy about this...He sure use octobans a lot . But talking seriously, if it isn't in "Blind" then it's in some song from "Polaris" - I know I've heard it somewhere

i could almost sure say that is somewhere in visions...since I recall, jorg havent the octobans in the episode times...im just guessin here, to hard to tell.

Wasn't it in "Eternity" or my ear is too wasted?
