DEVIL’S TRAIN, the band featuring R.D.Liapakis (MYSTIC PROPHECY), Jörg Michael (STRATOVARIUS), Lakis Ragazas (guitars), completes their lineup with bassist Jari Kainulainen.

Jari Kainulainen is a Finnish born bassist of the power metal band SYMPHONIA. He was previously a member of KILLING MACHINE, STRATOVARIUS and the progressive power metal band EVERGREY. Kainulainen plays Ibanez 6 string basses and uses Ampeg amplifiers. He is influenced by GEEZER BUTLER, BILLY SHEEHAN, CLIFF BURTON and STEVE HARRIS.

Commenting on the co-operation, band mainman R.D. Liapakis writes: “Jari is fully professional and has had much experience both in studio and in performing. His playing is the perfect missing part to complete the sound of the band as I pictured it when I first got the idea for Devil's Train as apart from his skilled playing he also enhances his performances with distinctive feeling and groove.”

The band is currently recording the bass and an album release is scheduled for next year. Further updates to follow.

Yup, a groovy hard rock project. Seems like it's going to be a good one! Lia has the perfect voice for that sort of thing.

Wow! Jörg and Jari together?! I didn't expect this to happen at all; two of the greatest members of Strato are playing together, and this hasn't happened since the era from "Episode" afterwards. I'm so gonna listen to this !

Totally. We all know how great Jorg and Jari are. Lakis is a killer guitarist and Lia is, for me, one of the best metal vocalists out there at the moment, so it's a pretty badass lineup!

I agree, it sounds like an awesome line up, would you happen to know how they sound or have no samples come out yet?

I'm now waiting for some samples, or maybe interviews

seems like so many good things are happening in the music world recently, 2011 seems to be the year for metal bands.

depends on which band you are talking about cause there were many bands during that time coming out with good material

2011 is going to be a great year at least for me. Strato's new record, a possible Circus Maximus release and also a highly possible Symphony X's album. 3 of my most favourite bands, this is just awesome ! Also this band with Jari...2010<2011
