Just received word today that Winter's Verge will be playing at the festival as well

So if anyone's thinking about mixing a summer holiday with some heavy metal, let me know and we'll meet up for a beer or 50! Will be extra cool to see Stratovarius again (will make it my 14th time in total

)
The rest of the lineup is pretty insane as well: Scorpions, Rotting Christ, Sabaton... it finally looks like our little island is starting to be taken seriously by metallers! And the whole thing is free... I have no idea where they're getting the money from but it's great news!
Arch Enemy and Spiritual Beggars are playing at another festival in July as well.
These are good times.

from what is shown on their webpage and facebook (here
http://www.facebook.com/#!/group.php?gid=355438071694) and with some discussions we had in cyprus the following bands will perform and are confirmed
1) Stratovarius (27 Aug)
2) Rotting Christ 26-Aug)
3) Sabaton (26 Aug)
4) Nightstalker (27 Aug)
5) Arryan Path (you should check them out)
6) Winters Verge
7) Blynd
+ More Acts TBA (acts from greece, cyprus, sweden, germany etc)
the 3rd day of the festival will be dedicated to reggea, and alternative music
the festival is with FREE ENTRANCE to AYIANAPA, the festival is inviting bands who are choosen through an online poll
Due to the nature of the festival many bands decrease their fee to come because the festival is
1) NON PROFIT
2) has a charity purpose
the festival gets its funding from sponsors, the local community, metal and rock fans, and through events that they do every year

Well, August will be a good chance

Also, the weather is perfect that time of year in Cyprus, warm and sunny but not too hot like the middle of July.
Also, the guys in Blynd and Arrayan Path are good friends of ours, both excellent bands (Blynd are something like Lamb of God/Machine Head, Arrayan Path more melodic epic stuff) so the show will be totally rocking.

I'd like to go and see you guys live (I always thought your music rocked), but it's a bit far to attend this festival

combine it with holidays

What more do you want!
