Have to agree there, but it was just a comment my friend. Take it easy :)

Rebel is acting so gay today. He has more dick in himself than Dickinson.

If you've read the interviews, you know there is NO reason to play really old songs. Most (70%) of the people at a concert want to hear songs like Black Diamond and HHAL. about 25% are more dedicated fans that own Polaris and Elysium and want to hear songs off the new record, and then there is an EXTREMELY small portion of the fans (most of which who post here) who have even HEARD those songs, let alone want to hear them live.
I agree, a very minority of people at each gig will know the first 3 albums, but the band could still consider putting something together. Perhaps on a future DVD after new albums (when they get round to it)? Y'know, even if its as little as 2 songs like 'Future Shock' to finish the setlist or 'Hands of Time'. Would really make it interesting for the longest time fans :D especially for the fact that theres no high quality live recordings of the oldest studio albums.

Not to mention that some people consider their first 3 albums to be some of their best work to date (not me but I know people that do). Would also be good because even though the new fans wouldn't know the songs, they would probably appreciate a song or two from 1989 or the early 90's. So i'd say there is a reason to do play a very small portion of the oldest material, because there are fans all over the world that can't go to a gig because of where they live. Like when BG play 'Majesty' live, thats got a considerable amount of views even though it's their first release which alot of people might not have heard. I think the fact older material is such a rarity in the Strato setlist anyway....Would make it worthwhile IMO :) not for every setlist, but for a live album or something along those lines.

Ok, let me put it this way.

5 songs from the first 4 albums that I would LOVE to hear live, although they won't play them live anymore...

Thin Ice (creepiest song ever, and I love it)
Madness Strikes at Midnight
Night Screamer
Galaxies
Dreamspace

In fact, that was my point but couldn't express it very well. The most loyal and "elder" fans will found it interesting to see those songs live, and for the ones who are "new" at them, it's a great opportunity to see that the band has some great stuffs back in time :)

If my memory doesn't fail me one of the members said that they would not play songs from the three first albums.

Deja vu.

I would love to hear anything from Dreamspace live, but then again..Not. If it's not sung by Tolkki then chances are it doesn't feel like Dreamspace.

Yes, when Tolkki was in the band. And TK version is nowhere near as good as Tolkki's even though i prefer TK's voice in general.

:x You're wrong!

Trying to dig up the info about the band not playing songs from the first three albums, but i don't even remember if it was a video or a text interview..Or an interview at all even!

Edit: Found it! Well..Sort of. An interview with Jörgi from '09,
With no members left from that era, do you play any stuff from the first three albums?
Jörg: I guess we do “Twilight Symphony,” maybe “Dreamspace.”

So appereantly there's nothing stopping them from playing songs from the first three, my memory betrayed me.
