Dudes, that demo album is played with the whole band, or it's played one by one like the final product?! Well played!

I'll try to upload it a bit later. Youtube just enabled uploads longer than 15 minutes on my account so it will be a good test I suppose! :)

It's up here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2ZQdpvMA1Bo

Along with testing my newfound 15+ minute upload ability I tried some other things. First is I made only the video part in Windows Live Movie Maker, then I attached the audio with virtualdub. This way the audio is only compressed twice instead of 3 times. Another thing I tried is outputting the video at 1920x1080 which gives the video on youtube more resolution options and I tested a few of them. I believe at 240p and 320p the video will have 96kbps audio, and 480p and above it will have 128kbps audio (although this is all crazy, because the base mp3 and wallpapers used to make a video file are about 25mb, in order to hear the higher quality audio on youtube you have to stream much much more, over 100mb on the 1080 setting)

I've already got the album now so I don't need the demo's, though it would be interesting to hear.

That russian girl really made me pee myself. Your idea sparked a fire under her fingers and into our buttholes.

It's interesting to note that what makes up a Stratovarius demo could very well just be released as an album on its own.

As for the Infernal outro not making it in, it might be because it sounds remarkably like Kiss of Judas.

The lyrics are different on the demos. Personally I think, that the finals versions are better, than the demo versions, like usually.

Well that tends to happen, most demo songs usually have lyrics that aren't too good, but then again they are unfinished, that's why they are called demo's

Thing is, lyrics really have to match the melody of the song (this isn't Rap music after all) so some words might have too many syllables or sound odd when changed to fit the melody.

Very true, one case in point was when Judas priest did the song rapid fire, Rob Halford said they had to make up the word Desolizating because of the fact that desolate and desolation didn't fit the flow of the song

I've heard all the demo's and I like them. But the final album versions are ofcourse better.

Except for one part. It's the ending of the Elysium demo TK sings 'Do you believe in hope and faith, or destiny" and I like the way he sings "or destiny" in the demo version more than the way he sings "or eternity" on the final album version.

That part is a bit rougher and harder in the demo version. I like that.

Elysium is a great album. Loving it more and more every day.

After having a few more days to listen, I want to thank whichever person in the band came up with the idea to provide the demos as a bonus. They offer a slightly different take on the songs. The Darkest Hours demo amusingly sounds "darker" than the CD version.
